“Harriet Beecher Stowe” will be present at the Old Mandarin Store and Post Office (located next to the Mandarin Community Club) during the 44th Annual Mandarin Art Festival thanks to Lindsay Schwieterman-Fait, who has been portraying Stowe since she was a young girl. Schwieterman-Fait will speak to the crowd as Mrs. Stowe - just across Mandarin Road from where the Stowes lived on a 30 acre property during the winters from 1867-1881. The speech will begin at 1:00PM on Saturday, April 7 and at 1:00 Sunday, April 8 at the Store and Post Office at 12471 Mandarin Rd.

The old Mandarin Store and Post Office, the hub of village life from the time it opened in 1911 until it closed in 1964. The Store & Post Office will be open 10-5 on Saturday and 11-5 on Sunday. This museum, operated by the Mandarin Museum & Historical Society, evokes memories of small town and village general stores across America.
