That explains all the buildings coming down. Do you happen to have any before and after pics?

Maybe this will help the Pheonix ave area from the damage from trucks headed to tallyrand.

Pheonix's truck traffic probably comes from the industries straddling the CSX and NS rail lines paralleling the street between 8th and 27th Streets.  Port related traffic in the area traditionally has used either 8th or 21st Streets to get to MLK/I-95.

I will sign a petition to include pedestrian connectivity in this project perhaps MJ could illustrate some suggestions.

I think they screwed the pooch by locating those two ponds on both sides of 21st Street instead of the isolated green spaces between the ramps.  It's under construction now, so unfortunately, its probably too late for that particular stretch of 21st Street.  Thus, I'd probably focus on the areas surrounding it.

Well, hey, at least more buildings are being torn down. That's always good, right?

this project has been a desire of the port for probably 20 years...too bad the need isn't really there, since Tallyrand isn't where their growth is going to be.

Lunican

It looks like this project only eliminates one traffic light between MLK and JAXPORT. $30.5 million.

Unfortunately, anything remotely questioning JAXPORT in this City is akin to blasphemy.
