The Oct. 3, 2012 Jacksonville Waterways Commission Artificial Reef Subcommittee meeting will soon have us all anchoring over Downtown Demolition debris. Got to love it. We are about to reclaim something!

Scott Shine, member of Waterways and the chair oversaw a fluid, informational, full of participation meeting that is bringing so many agencies and groups together and doing it in the Sunshine that the inclusive atmosphere and the accelerated awareness that you don 't want to be the agency with holding this project up to be you.

In attendance from the committee was Dr. Quinton White with JU, Captain Jim Suber Waterways coordinator with COJ, Jacksonville Waterways Commission member Ralph Hodges was excused, Other commission members Lane Burnett and Stephen Swann were a no show. Jacksonville city council member Lori Boyer Dist. 5 was also a participant. 21 total at the meeting.

The coordination is being led by Jody McDaniel with the Planning Dept. Site locations are being refined and the next meeting should be more positive announcements if the agency updates continue to reflect who is making it happen and who is dragging their feet as to how this Downtown Regional benefit is moving forward.

Soon we could all be saying we are Downtown on the water with Mayor Brown.

At the 8/15/12 Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting it was revealed that an artificial reef is moving forward in the river off the shore of San Marco.

Congratulations to all that are Making It Happen.

Gotta admit, it's a beautiful thing!

Where the hell are the PCT (faux trolley) buses when we need them Noone? Remove the fuel tanks and lines and bust out a few windows and voila, 'INSTANT REEFS.'

Super Duper Regional props to Jacksonville Waterways Commission Chair Dist. 14 Jacksonville city council member Jim Love for forwarding to Mr. Ron Belton with the Administration a memorandum of a donation that was made at the 11/14/12 Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting as it relates to 2009-442.

This will have statewide implications especially as it relates to the recent meeting of the past Florida Inland Navigation District (FIND) meeting that took place 11/16/12 in Jacksonville Beach and moving forward.

This will and should have significant impact with our new DIA and CRA as well.

In the meantime who wants to kayak and fish under our brand new No Fishing signs that was never before the Jacksonville Waterways Commission?

Special shout out to anyone outside of Duval county.

I am Downtown and why you aren't.

PS. Donations being gratefully accepted to 2009-442. Don't be afraid of this.
Embrace it.

2013-51 was on the agenda for the 2/13/13 Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting. No discussion. Passed 9-0. Goes to RCD and then Finance. I support the legislation.

The concern going forward is the 6 artificial reefs in the river. The one reef didn't get lost for the 6 reefs.
Councilwoman Boyer.
Councilman Redman.
Be concerned.

A conspiracy to defraud the taxpayers of Jacksonville to Public Access and Economic opportunity to our St. Johns River our American Heritage River a Federal Initiative in our newly created DIA/CRA in the USA zone.

Nice conditions to provide a spark this afternoon on our St. Johns River our American Heritage River a Federal Initiative in our newly created DIA zone.

Anyone want to write a check for a buck for 2009-442 and we'll make a scene Downtown and it will have you saying to every appointed or elected legislative representative that you meet WTF ( Want To Fish).

We'll put in at a waterfront Public Access street end Downtown that still doesn't have A Mayor Alvin Brown Kayak logo and take it over to the brand new No Fishing signs that was never before the Jacksonville Waterways Commission.

So who is All In?

Noone

6 days out from the next Jacksonville Waterways Commission meeting. Is there just one MJ'er that would want to write a check for a buck to 2009-442? If you want to throw in some more zeros behind it that is entirely up to you. I will personally deliver it at Waterways. Councilman Love who is the Chair of Waterways is fantastic.

6 artificial reefs in the river south of the Fuller Warren is a Super benefit for Jacksonville and the region. Scott Shine who is the Chair of the Artificial Reef subcommittee in addition to councilwoman Boyer and Love whose council districts just happen to be next to the river continue to be tremendous advocates.

904-434-0839 and if you like I'll come to you and pick up a check and donate it on your behalf. Or show up at Waterways 9:30 am 3/13/13 in council chambers. Write the check out to the City Of Jacksonville. put 2009-442 on the check along with Artificial Reef Trust Fund.

Downtown will be a Destination and not a pass through especially on the water.
