Well boys and girls, Medellin wins my award for more innovative 'transit.'  In the extremely poor suburban neighborhoods of Comuna, going to school could require accenting 28 stories of stairs! Yeah, the Andes are TOUGH. Leave it to Medellin to pull a completely out of the box transit solution. In this case a massive outdoor escalator system split into 6 sections. Work is now underway to cover the whole thing. Add this to a world class mix of a heavy rail metro, sky cables, buses, taxi's, guided bus/tram.

Meanwhile JTA can't figure out how to get an elevated Skywalk from the San Marco Skyway station over to Aetna and Baptist... Excuse me but where the hell is the 'third world' again?
