Anyone know the latest about Simon's Wine Bar at the corner of Prudential and Hendricks?  Are they still open?  I think they may have shut down, based on the darkness/lack of activity I've witnessed over the last week or so.

I don't know, but yesterday there was a for rent sign on the building.

Did any of you all go to it?  How was it?

I've been there a couple of times.  Its a (was) nice place to have a conversation/drink with someone, with a little live jazz music playing in the background.

I went with the Firm one night if it's the one I'm thinking about.  Did they have  private room and is (was) there another wine bar between that corner filling station and I95 on Hendrix?

NJ to JAX WHAT DID I DO?

Each time I have driven by there over the last month or so, even on weekends, it has been dark.  I assumed that JAX had let another gem die.  I know for a while there Prudential Dr. was tore up in front of it, so I am not sure if that hurt business.

it has been closed for over a month....I think the main reason it closed is competition....Tastings opened nearby and is doing very well.

I was wondering if the area could support three wine bars within a 1-2 mile stretch between Grotto, Tastings, and Simon's.  Simon's had the worst location of the three and Tasting's recent opening peels off of the Chart House, Mortons and Wyndham crowd.

Wouldn't surprise me to see a restaurant go in that space, but we'll see...
