sorry...no MJD jersey...I do own a Marcedes Lewis one...but tonight I'm going w/ #58 Peter Boulware in Ravens purple!

So who's your main team the Jags, or the Ravens? Don't call your self a Jag fan and wearing the opposing teams' jersey. You sound like one of those frontrunning type guys.

GOooo JAGSlu!!!! Please begin your ascension to greatness tonight!
O
+1.l I really hope we can start winning some games because we've been really close the last few games. Tonight could be the breakthrough!

Actually weve been close all season. We were close in the Jets game until the comedy started to happen. Honestly the saints game was the only one where we hopeless. ( and it still was not a blow out)  We technically should be 3-3 right. We should have won the panthers game and we beat our selfs in the Bengals gane. But, you cant cry over spilled milk, and close is not good enough. We need a win! May God be with us...

LOL! There's no doubt that our record should be better. We could've won all our games but we made silly mistakes and our reflects it. But I'm over it. I just want us to win!

Calm down I-10... like alot of jags fans... I am a transplant.  Born in Wisconsin I bleed Green and Gold.  I have lived in Jax for a long time and am undeniably a Jags fan... but if and when my Packers come to town... I will join the thousands of Packer fans that will help fill Everbank Stadium...  Just the way it is...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

^^^That's why I asked who his MAIN team is, just like your main team is the Packers, I hope that his(tufsu) main team is the Ravens, or any other team besides the Jags; If that's the case then I apologize.

tufsu1

Yes...my MAIN team is the Ravens as I am from Baltimore...but I've also lived in Philly and Tamps (+ Jax)

Last year I wore a Jags jersey and Eagles hat to that game....tonight I'll bring a Jags jacket to show support and pride for the home team

Who cares what kind of jersey he wears? I don't care if he wears pajamas and a bag over his head. As long as he bought a ticket, he's supporting the team in some way/shape/form. We love to get caught up in respect and the "whose your team" mentality. I couldn't give a damn, as long as the games are sold out. What I've hated most about the Jags lately  is not losing. It's worrying about blackouts and being scared we won't have a team a decade from now.

I think losing and blackouts sometimes goes hand and hand. How many winning teams are worried about Blackouts? not many. I think we will have a good crowd tonight. Something I read on the Jaguars site was that the team needs to keep the game close, because the crowd needs to believe that they are still in it. Let's hope they play well all 4 qrts.

From Jaguars.com. This puts things into perspective and also hits my view points head on:

Damien from Jacksonville:

As a lifelong Jets fan and an adopted Jags fan and season-ticket holder since moving to Jacksonville 11 years ago I wanted to say that some people around here don't get it. Teams tend to go in cycles, meaning that teams have runs of success and then down periods. Don't you agree? Growing up in Northwest Pa, I saw the Browns (of all teams) dominate for years and the Steelers fans complain about Chuck Noll of all people. I saw the Bills go to four straight Super Bowls only to struggle for the next 15 years. As a Jets fan...well, you know. Please people, stop complaining about the Jags. Their "down" years have been entertaining and they have tended to be competitive even when they were not supposed to be good. As someone who once hoped Browning Nagle would help his team win 5-6 games I say enjoy the NFL week to week and sooner than later your team will compete, especially when they build the roster the right way like GM Gene.

John: What you wrote is exactly correct and is the overriding truth of the NFL. As a long-time Redskins fan until the mid-1990s, I grew up with a team that sniffed the playoffs a few times, then followed them through a phenomenally successful era with Joe Gibbs as coach. Since then, they have had two decades mostly marked by frustration and overspending. I have made the point several times that one thing you have to give the Jaguars credit for is that their down years have been very competitive â€" perhaps more than they should have been. The key now is the quarterback. If Gabbert works out, the Jaguars are probably entering a memorable era.

Jesus, man.  I understand respecting both teams, but have some respect for yourself - Teal & Purple?.

Wear the Raven's jersey, proudly, and just be sure to drink lots of beer in the teal cups.

You'll need plenty of liquid courage to man up for the whoopin' your team is about to take tonight.   8)

Well.. Tampa actually did well last year... and are doing as good this year. And they cant get tickets sold to save their life. So thats not a cure all in every situation. Heck even when the Jags were winning a few year back we were still fighting the blackout bug. Last I checked, so far we are 26th in the league for attendance so far this season. After the " Jax doesnt support that thier" in 2009 we are well from the bottom in attendance. The bengals are the bottom this year followed by Tampa and the Raiders I believe.
