Isn't the Northpoint Town Center on the intersection of Myrtle & Moncrief?

Yes.  The Northwest Jax CDC has an ambitious plan to turn that area into a walkable mixed use district.

What exactly is the NorthWest Jax CDC??  Are there others in town??  I think our city could use a few more projects like this.

The Northwest Jacksonville CDC is a Community Development Corporation headed up by Paul Tutwiler.  Their work is focused in the neighborhood near Myrtle/Moncrief/Golfair.  There are a few other CDCs in town, but I think that this one has far and away been the most successful.  They have also done a number of homes in the neighborhood.  Here is their website: www.northwestjaxcdc.org.  I have no affiliation with them, but have had the opportunity to interact with Paul on numerous projects over the years and always found him to be a stand up guy who gets things done.

As some others have said Northpoint Town Center does look pretty cool. A different design then the typical that we see around here. Nice!!!

Somethings is going on at the southbank JEA site.  They have a silt fence down most of the west side of the property and there is what looks like a small drilling rig on site.

I'm sure the JEA garage makeover was taxpayer subsidized. I mean why would the city let them just piss away their huge profits, (at our expense) when the taxpayers can pick up the tab? This project does nothing for nobody. Why renovate the Trio or other empty buildings and increase residential DT, when JEA so desperately needs to peel a little metal of the side of their parking garage?

Looks like you forgot the new "Americana" antiques store that's going into the old Draper store space. King Street is definitely hoppin'!

I was on Moncrief yesterday and the Family Dollar should be opening soon. Brand new bus shelter. Nice picture of Blaylock.

Rush Street will not be able to do anything but serve drinks from their porch for FL/GA, if that.  The interior looks months from being finished and just generally a mess.  I hope they can shape up and get some sort of product ready by next weekend.

it appears they've been moving faster....most of the interior has now been repainted and I'm betting they open for next weekend

Lake, I just went back to look at this. You point out the Family Dollar on Myrtle and I went to the one on Moncrief. Are both bus shelters the same? The one on Moncrief is brand new. Is the one on Myrtle brand new? Is the hurricane signage removable?

I'll be the first to admit I'm not a big transportation guy but are you excited about the design? Does JTA have separate designs like you are going into a sub division? You may pick from A, B, or C?

What is the bus stop location for the Northpoint Town Center? I'll check it out next time I'm in the area. Just curious.

Your right Palms Fish Camp is not in the urban core but its been around for 10 years.
All the projects that you identified I was just thinking to myself how they would have been addressed in the mobility fee. Which ones if at all.

Resturant will ruin a good boat ramp at Palms Fish Camp. Don't open the resturant.

Rumor is they are having a difficult time qualifying for a septic system on that lot. Notice they fenced a lot of the property and cut parking by 1/3.
