Bye Felicia...

One cannot describe the utter disaster to the franchise in their failure to build a team from their first round draft choices. Unless the phrase "utter failure to build a franchise from first round draft choices" is used......

Blake Bortles, Blaine Gabbert, Justin Blackmon, Luke Joekel, Dante Fowler Jr, Jalen Ramsey, Leonard Fournette, Taven Bryan,

Does not bode well for Trevor Lawrence.

Tacachale

Fournette is who we picked instead of Patrick Mahomes, because we were invested in Bortles. Enough said.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Wacca Pilatka

^ Fournette was never a good use of draft capital at #4, and investment in Bortles wasn't a good excuse, but a lot of scouts didn't see the magic in Mahomes on draft night either.  Otherwise he would've gone #1.  Quite a few observers thought he was a reach at #10 and I know I saw at least one who said he was too inaccurate and should've merited a third round grade.

Fournette over Watson, though, I think falls squarely in the "investment in Bortles" error category.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

Uh.............we also picked Brian Anger over Russell Wilson, so please don't forget that brilliant move.

You seem to have issues with the Sea Turtle...  :o
It's now 'One Ocean' and somewhere I would at least offer as a suggestion to someone from out of town wanting an Ocean-Front Hotel.  The Sea Turtle Inn is long gone and just made for an easy analogy of flipping a business, but I also don't remember those investors asking for $250m+.
I know... I have stayed in both. One was a dump and the other quite nice...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Marcusnelson: we have a world class Symphony Orchestra. I will get you tickets so you can experience something amazing in Jacksonville.

I appreciate the offer, although it'd have to be after this whole pandemic business.

Fournette was paid too much for his position and was toxic in the locker room.

$4M is not too much money for a RB who had 1,600 yards from scrimmage last year.

I do think Leonard Fournette was just looking to get the season over with and had no interest in the long-term goals of the team.  I'm sure there were dudes on the team who were probably not to keen on his lack of interest, but not to sure if I would call that toxic.

He cleared waivers. He'll be a good pick up for a team. Could definitely see New England going after him.

At a reduced price...lol.  He cleared waivers and the Jags couldn't trade him so maybe someone might want him at a bargain price...

He cleared waivers because we're within 2 weeks of the start of the season.  Jags chose to screw him over.  I also don't believe they didn't receive any trade offers.  Dave Caldwell is a sniveling little twerp who clearly is willing to accept his role as Shad And Tony Khan's puppet GM.
