Yeahhhhhhh, no one said anything about going to the Super Bowl.

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Your correct.  That person just that the Jags had playoff potential this year and are a "lock" for the playoffs next year.  For this team, that's pretty much as likely as winning the next 12 Super Bowls while also producing the league MVP each season.

Anyway, until January, I am done with this thread.  Sorry, my teal-colored glasses are at the optometrist's and that you're all so thin-skinned that literally true statements about how bad this team blows get your panties all in a wad.

Can anyone out there name all the Super Star NFL Players on our current roster?

I can.  There are none. Not one.  Not one player we could trade today for another Super Star Player.

Watching last nights game between Denver and Kansas City, there were great players , All Pro Super Star Players on both teams.

Somehow through the last 3-4 years we have failed to pick up one Super Star Player through Free Agency or the draft. It sort of dawned on

me that this is the responsibility of the GM.  Look at our last 4 first round picks. Two busts, one out for the year (so we have no idea how he

will perform), and Blake Bortles. Also no way to know how he is going to turn out. If they start calling him Blaine Bortles we'll be in a heap of

crap. Our supposed best player is Julius Thomas, who might miss the first half of the season according to Coach Gus Bradley. You would

have a hard time trading a guy on injured reserve.  Just reflecting on this team. It's freaking sad.

Just looked it up. Paul Posluszny was the last Jag to make the Pro Bowl, in 2013.

Any predictions for this weekend? At a minimum, I see Bortles throwing at least one pick six, lots of holding penalties from the Jag's OL, and Wake getting his first sack or two of the season.

Marks was snubbed last year, he was a pro bowl caliber player.

After seeing what happened to you with your predictions for the Hurricanes, I've learned not to make predictions anymore.  :P

It was never discussed that Julius Thomas would miss half the season. And the 2012 draft is irrelevant because that GM was fired.

Nah, the Jags' offense is more like:

Wake getting his first sack or two of the season.

One or two?  Wake is going to feast on Sam Young this Sunday.
So I said to him: Arthur, Artie come on, why does the salesman have to die? Change the title; The life of a salesman. That's what people want to see.

I'll go with two. His one sack last week was nullified because of a defensive penalty. I suspect, they'll have problems with Suh, so they'll commit more attention, thus leaving Sam Young on his own against Wake.

Bigger question is; Will Blake Bortles throw more Miami touchdowns than Tannehill?  He did it last year, can he do it again?
