I just left the Chargers website and few other teams and must admit, Jaguar fans are very lucky.  They have something called the "BoltsCast" and it is so amatuer. If reminded me of high school watching the kids in the TV production class do the "news". I was listening to Derrick Cox on their and he sounded really stupid. LOL Im not being funny, but he sounded really stupid. It seems like the questions they were asking him, he was making up the answers as he went along and had no idea what to say. LOL

In other news, Britton signed a one year contract with the Bears.

Uni update -
QuoteThe most interesting details that Lukas learned were of a potential military inspiration for the Jaguars new look. The logo patch on the chest is facing the center of the jersey, because like on military uniforms, the patches should face your heart. Here is perhaps my favorite detail of the new uniforms:
Continuing with the military theme, the players’ last names will appear the front of the jersey under the patch, to mimic the look of a military uniform. That is a pretty cool detail that will really set these uniforms apart. It is also a great way to involve the community with the uniforms. The Jacksonville area has the third largest military presence of any city in the United States.
Oh, and a gold plated helmet sounds pretty nifty, too. “The helmet shell will be two-tone â€" starting out gold and then fading into black,” Lukas wrote. He went on to add that the logo on the side of the helmet could be larger than a typical logo, like the Boise State Broncos Pro Combat helmets.
The new look uniforms will have a design on the sleeves that features black, gold, chrome, and teal.
Jacksonville will have a teal alternate jersey, which was their primary jersey color up until last season.

Can't wait to see the new uniforms. If only so I don't have to read all the internet speculation. If I have learned one thing from Khan's tenure as owner, it's that he won't settle for average. I doubt the uniforms will be an exception.

duvaldude08

Im not worried. Anything Khan touches turns into gold. (or black and gold  ;D ). I know it still will be an adjustment period before we get used to it. Were going from completely plain and ugly uniforms, to something out of the box.

Man, if we could only make a quick turn around, this looks like a cake walk. The Texans, Bronco's Seahawks and 49er's aside. Bump the Colts and Luck. Even though we lost to the colts the second time around, our defense gave Luck hell, so I dont give two shits about the Colts.  Loving the season opener battle of the bottom with Kansas City. We also need to go to Oakland and redeem ourselves. That game always haunts me. I was in church and checking the game on my phone. Me and another guy in the choir were going crazy when the score was 20-3. By the time I got home, I was like "WTF happen" Where's gabbert?? Wheres MJD?" 2012 will forever be known as the season where everything that could go wrong, went wrong ALL the time.  ::)

Three trips to the West Coast (Denver close enough) in 5 weeks will be a challenge.

They'll probably stay out there between the Oakland & Seattle games.

Duval, I dunno if we're so good to be using terms like 'cake walk' LOL. I agree that at we will have our hands full with SEA, at DEN, SF, and HOU; Then you have teams that are hard to get a gauge on like SD (we lost to them twice in a row) at STL (I can't remember when the last time we played them) at OAK (I can't remember the last time we won out there) and a few others.  I'm hoping that we can split the NFC West, and go .500 in the division. That first half is brutal IMO; We'll be doing damn good to come outta there 4-4.

Yeah the first half is a dozey, but overall this schedule, based on how these teams did last season (which could always change), this is schedule is not very intimidating. And I said IF we have a quick turn around. I would love for us to bounce back, but who knows. Compared to our schedule the past two season's, this one is light.

can't believe the best game on the home schedule is in London.

Sucks there aren't any 4pm home kickoffs this year. Those are my favorite.

Okay..so I need everyones opinon. Personally, I dont want to draft a left tackle. Eugene Monroe was OUTSTANDING last season. If Im not mistaken, he ranked as one of the top left tackles the past two seasons. I think it would annoy me if we draft a tackle (Jockel or Fisher) just because they are the "best player available". With so many holes in our roster, we have a million of other needs that need to be addressed, and left tackle is not a priority. I think we need to go defense in the first round... Thoughts?

This reflectrs exactly what I think about the left tackle theory.

Quote

The second position the Jaguars are considering is a total crapshoot. Mel Kiper and our own Luke Sims see the Jaguars looking at offensive tackle with their first pick, and the argument for doing so is somewhat compelling. The right tackle position was a total mess last year and Eugene Monroe doesn’t have a long term deal in place. I’m not a big fan of this logic. This move would be an indictment on Eugene Monroe’s ability to be a franchise left tackle. If you draft a tackle at number two, it’s probably because you want to replace Eugene Monroe next year. If not, you’re drafting a right tackle at number two which is a horrendous positional value pick. With the right QB in place, you can win with Monroe as your left tackle. Why artificially create a need at a position that is one of the strongest on your roster?

Floyd would be my choice for the Jags 2nd pick.
