^ Ahh ok, I didn't realize he was only a freshman. Hopefully we won't be thinking about QB's in 2015 though
Even if he were draft eligible, Manziel does not have the skill set or size to be a pro QB.

Russell Wilson?

Pick up a free agent QB in offseason... Alex Smith?

Find a Atlanta Falcons type trading partner... and trade out our first round pick. (The Atlanta Falcons gave up 2011 and 2012 first round picks, a 2011 second round pick and both 2011 and 2012 fourth round picks.)

Trade down again if possible... and engorge the roster with new young talent...

Just a thought... :)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Manziel is really really small.  Smaller than Wilson.  That being said, he's only a freshman.  Wilson may have been about the same size as a freshman.

The Jags will need a team or two to fall in love with one of the DEs to find a trade partner.

I know no one wants to hear anything remotely positive right now (certain ones will pick apart this post and find something negative to say). , but I got a call from an agent today whose a Redskins fan and he was asking about the Jaguars and Gabbert. He was saying how smart Gabbert is and how he could memorize a playbook, and that he had a great arm and hopes he can improve. Aside from that, I was just talking about how bad we were doing, and he said that he really like Khan and everything will work out and we will just be another success story. This agent is out of state. Its just cool to hear an outsider perspective of our situation. Regardless of all thats going on right now, I do believe. Sometimes you have reach rock bottom to rise the top. We just gotta get a roster straight and well be hine. A house cleaning is a-coming in the off season.

Russell Wilson?

Wilson has a superior arm.

Wonder if we could dig up any of the old 'Sharks', 'Express,' or 'Bulls,' team players, hell it couldn't get any worse.

I figure George Mira at 70 should be at least the equal to what we have on the field today, that is IF we could talk him out of his 'Native Conch' concession at the botanical gardens in Coral Gables!

OMG we lost  ;D whatever, been over that. anyways my only take way is that injuries have surely crippled this team. With Shorts being out, the offense just wasnt the same. It holds true that something just one player can make a difference. Same can be said for darryl Smith. But this is some good evaluation time. I concluded Kevin elliot has potential, but he's not to be in the top of the rotation. You gotta catch the ball. Another observation, Henne is good. He made good decision and good throws today, but the receivers werent making plays. Definately not his fault.

Anyways, on to the draft, we have some serious depth issues. I almost freaked out today when Lewis when down because, we have zero depth at Tight End. I think I two picks should be beastly o-line (RT or LT) and another pass catching tight end. Getting another good tight end helps the blocking and pass game.  And maybe take a running back in the late rounds ( MJD is getting old too, its time to start planning for the future.) Outside of that, its a toss up. We need to fill holes everywhere on our defense. We need more linebackers and corner. Even with Smith returning next season, we need some depth. Corners are my concern of course due to Mathis's age and Cox inability to stay healthy. Mike Harris is pretty good back, we just need more options. The saftey position is fine. Lowery and Laundry are great duo back there.

Honestly, I think Mathis is one of the most overrated players we've ever had. For years we've been told how great he is. He was decent in 06/07 (like everyone else), but over the past 5 or so years I've seen him play horribly more than I've seen him play well.

He was one of the best cover corners in the league from 04-07. He was more than decent. He was even first team All-Pro one year. That is a pretty signifigant honor from a player in Jacksonvillle.

Yeah Mathis was a beast early on in his career. I noticed he plays better when we have help. His production always  goes down when our defense is horrible. Think about 2004-2007 are defense was a complete beast, and so was he. From 2008-2010, he disappeared along with rest of the defense. In 2011, defense was backon top and so was Mathis. Just a weird observation from me.

One thing I like about Mularkey is that he has respect for our veteran players. When he apologize to mathis for not giving him more playing time, he earned alot of respect in my book. Del rio treated our veteran players like shit. he sent Brunell packing to start a good awful rookie who had awful mechanic's and was slow as hell (leftwich anyone? LOL), and he got rid of the best running backs in the leauge and in our franchise, after the player even offered to take a pay cut. That was bad business and one of the many reason Im glad Del Rio is gone.

Jaguar cast off (Dujuan Harris) scores for Green Bay...

QuoteThat’s because Grant immediately gave way to Harris, who blasted ahead for five yards before he got a great block from pulling guard Evan Dietrich-Smith that cleared a huge lane for his 14-yard score, Harris' first career TD.

A second-year back who appeared in five games for Jacksonville last season and then was signed to the Packers’ practice squad six weeks ago, Harris moved up to the active roster just eight days ago. He actually started Sunday night’s game and showed a great burst on a pitch around right end on the Packers’ first snap, gaining 11 yards.

Listed at 5-8 and 203 pounds, the quick-footed Harris certainly packs a punch when he runs. He finished with seven carries for 31 yards
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Three more games and then the end of the Smith/Mularkey. Khan is going to blow this thing up and he needs to.
