Correction: the game just got a little more exciting. Jags performing better. Unfortunately, we still can't get in the end-zone (minus MJD's run).

What happened to everyone who kept mocking the Cecil Shorts pick?  Y'all were awfully noisy this offseason.

Holy !@$@#%!

My thoughts exactly. At this point our offense is just as horrendous as last season but a win is a win. The D looks much improved with Cox out there now. Wish I could figure out where the week 1 offense has gone. Gabbert had like 75 yards passing being Shorts had the 80 yd catch at the end.

Remember, while Shorts made a fantastic catch and run to win the game that was his only reception. He was none existent for the first 59 minutes. Then again I'll take one play every game over 6 or 7 for 80 yards.

Let's be honest...winning is great. BUT, we still kinda suck!! Awful offense. Awful. D is improved, but won't win a majority of games..

He also caught four or five passes in the opener, including a 39-yarder that would've been the game winner if not for 20 seconds of self destruction.

I could give a damn about all that other stuff. A win is a win. And they fought to the very end.The defense was awesome. The offense had to ride MJD, but Gabbert and shorts seal the deal. As mularkey stated himself, they were going to find a way... And that they did. Thats all I care about at this point. I want a W. However they have to get it.

Well I just checked and somehow... We are still 2nd in the divison! LOL Being that the Bengals are in the AFC, beating them next Sunday would set us up real lovely. We have work to do, but I can go to work happy tomorrow :)

Exactly. My only mini gripe was the ultra-conservative offensive play calling that led to the Colts last field goal, which made me wanna pull my hair out. I can care less about Shorts (a non starter BTW) 'only' catching the freaking game winning TD for godsakes, and not looking crisp and clean on every offensive play considering all of these injuries, back ups, and young players in a first year system. Some of these stat freaks seem to enjoy the loss to MINN (which in hindsight doesn't look so bad now, since they beat the Niners) with Gabbert getting over 200 yards passing, then the 'ugly' win vs IND. Congrats on Khan's first win, Go Jags!!!

I think every game week can find something that went wrong, for EVERY team. If would have lost  people would have been saying "same ole Jags" so hey. Im just glad shorts got what was due do to him. I know it was hurt breaking in week one for our defense to let us down, and shorts not really get much credit for what he did. But he got his payback today :)

what a play to end the game. I am just happy for the win.

I'll happily take the win, but the real elephant in the room is the no-call on the blatant pass interference late in the game.

Can't wait for these two next home games.

I'm a sucker for the 4:00 start times too.

If the weather is half as nice as it is today, it's going to make for a couple of really great Sundays, regardless of outcome on the field.

+1.

The other elephant in the room: the lack of a solid BG or Blackmun or receiver corp for 59 minutes of the game.

Makes up for the fake interference call that nullified a Mathis interception in the first quarter.
