No definitive answer on ticket / travel packages for fans & season ticket holders wanting to go... Kahn says it's in the works though.

Good! Im thinking about going since I have time to plan.

The comments by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan on Tuesday sparked a visceral reaction from a disgruntled Maurice Jones-Drew. The running back even told one person close to him that if the owner really isn't concerned with him, then he should trade him to someone who will be.

If Jones-Drew is expendable, his camp believes that gives them permission to seek a trade. But the running back's trade value isn't clear, because the new team would have to offer him a new contract, as well.

Earlier today, Khan reiterated once again that he won't back down to Jones-Drew's desires for a new contract with two years remaining on his current deal. "Train is leaving the station," Khan said, "Run, get on it." Earlier in the week, Khan told Yahoo! Sports about his absence, "Believe me, it's not a great concern."

That hasn't sat well with Jones-Drew or his camp. Jones-Drew has held out all offseason, hoping to negotiate a third contract. He is owed roughly $4.45 million this year and $4.95 million next year.

Khan's comments seem to violate what Jones' camp calls unwritten rules of keeping negotiations in-house. Interestingly, Jones-Drew and general manager Gene Smith speak regularly, and they did so Monday night. But publicly, Khan has sent another message.

Jones-Drew has saved his money, a source close to him said, meaning he doesn't have to show up for financial reasons. In fact, DirecTV will come out with a feature tomorrow that has Jones-Drew Skyping with fantasy football fans. He is being compensated for it.

Jones-Drew gained 1,606 yards last year with a career-high eight touchdowns. This preseason, though, Rashad Jennings has impressed as his replacement.

A source said the two sides are no closer to Jones-Drew showing up to Jaguars camp.

Kahn's quote is great.   MJD will not miss a regular season game.

Ive had it with him. What I dont get is, he made the comment " I want to play for an organization that values me" Ummmmmm they dont know you dumb ass.  A completely new onwership and new coaching staff and you taking them through this bullshit? They cant "value" someone they dont know. And at this point, they have a bad taste in their mouth. Sounds like to me he's pissed because weve moved on without him like he never existed. This is no one man team.  This aint the Wayne weaver and Del Rio show anymore.. He's playing with fire dealing with Khan. Im so damn heated a need to take a nap. I cant stand his ass at this point.. Okay Im doing to bed.  :D

This isn't even good spin by the agent.  We, The Jaguars, made our negotiating intentions very clear from the start - that there wouldn't be any.  The MJD camp is really starting to backtrack now that we are moving on without him and not even looking back.

I read a great quote from Bill Parcells the other day, "You should never come out of the huddle, because you never know who's going in the huddle."  Well, Jonesey, you came out of the huddle and you're not exactly being missed.

From a Jag’s fan:

We are a better team with you, MJD. 2 solid backs are always better than one, you showed us that when you and FreddyT teamed up and put clinics on for other teams.

BUT…

Your agent says that we’re taking this public and that’s a bold-faced lie. We, The Jaguars, said from the beginning that there would be NO NEGOTIATIONS and you felt that you could persuade them to change their mind. You assumed that we would come out flat and beg you start carrying the rock again.

Dude. Pay attention to what’s going on in NE Florida. We have a NEW owner that is doing everything he can to pimp the Jags brand. We have a NEW head coach that is doing his best to prove everyone that he deserves his title because he learned from his mistake in Buffalo. We have a NEW culture. Not the same old JDR song and dance with WW, aww shucks, we’ll get ‘em next year. Wake Up!

The media, your agent and some Gene Smith haters are portraying this as the Jags poking the bear, but you’ve got it all wrong, son, Kahn is the bear â€" a big f-bomb-ing (legal says Webster!) bear who will poke who he wants, how he wants and when he wants. He’s the owner of the franchise and isn’t worried about one player â€" just winning and even with your rushing title, we only went 5-11 (aside: not your fault per se, but now you’re getting blasted since Blaine cut his hair and has a 128 QB rating, just sayin’)

You want a trade…. sure, how about NO.

You want more money….. we’ve been saying no this whole time.

Your feelings are hurt, you don’t feel loved, you want a team to want you…. Dude, get real. Your feelings would be fine with a new contract, but you can’t seem to get it… Kahn isn’t going to give you one. Hell, you may not even get one next year, now. And if you keep pushing, you might find yourself franchised the year after that….

To mash a few quotes together, “You don’t ever leave the huddle, because you don’t know who’s coming in the huddle, but the train’s leaving and the concern needle isn’t moving. You better start running and hop on.”

Tony

ps â€" I am going to boo you when you first step out on the field. After that, dude, all’s forgiven and mow those f-ers down little Pocket Hercules.

Go Jags â€" All IN.

Still don't get how national medias think that us Jags fans are nervous about Jaguars playing 1 game in London. They said if London show better support than Jacksonville, The Jaguars will move to London....If Khan really want to move the team, he doesn't need to spent all that money to upgrade the stadium. I know that its not a lot but why waste the money tho..

duvaldude08

Well now his agent is backtrackingsaying" Maurice loves being a Jaguar, but stated he wanted to play for an organization that values him."  We see who's switching gears now.

Go read the Jaguars message board and there you'll find your answer. It's not just one game its 1 for the next 4 years I think. No other team has done that. So it doesn't take much to get a paranoid fan base more paranoid.

But you can't build a following with just one game.  It's a smart plan, giving them the same team for a few years.  They get to know the players, the coach, etc.. and some will actually be looking forward to the game in the following years.
