The Jacksonville Jaguars

I really like this move by the Jags front office. What could be a better fit for a brand new Defensive Coordinator than getting on-the-job assistance and tutelage from one of the most experienced defensive minds in the NFL.

Rashean Mathis will be inducted next into the Pride of the Jaguars according to the TU. Well deserved IMO.

^^^Oh, it says, 'Rashean should be the next to join the pride' as an opinion. I screwed up, my bad. I won't be surprised if it happens though.

Sheesh - the Pride of the Jaguars is gonna run out of room by the time we have some true Hall of Famers cycle through here.  I'm not exactly calling the existing members mediocre, but realistically, how many of these guys would make it into a ring of honor on other teams - say, Pittsburgh(?).  I suppose it's all relative.

Boselli and Taylor are potential Hall of Famers. Taylor is in the top 20 all time for rushing yards. Without injuries shortening his career, Boselli would have been a slam dunk first ballot HOFer. Guys like Ogden, Roaf and Walter Jones have made it and Boselli was as good, if not better, during the prime of his career.

Brunell is the only one that maybe you could question. But I think QB's are different. The Seahawks have Jim Zorn and Dave Kreig in their "Ring of Honor". The Colts have Jim Harbaugh in theirs.

As for Mathis, I don't think we will ever see him up there. Same for Meester.

I do think maybe we could see Jimmy Smith up there. He is like Taylor, in that he is among the top 20 receivers of all time.

FSBA

Can't see Jimmy getting inducted until his personal life is no longer a train wreck.
I support meaningless jingoistic cliches

^^^I agree. Otherwise he would've been there a while ago.

MoJo is a very likely addition to the Pride.

Ramsey injured his knee during practice.

You've gotta be kidding me.

so far, Bortles the only safe pick the last few years for the Jags. Draft more players like Bortles, who are not prone to break down!

Torn meniscus. Getting 2nd opinion.

I-10east

I heard that if the torn meniscus is positive, he'll still be ready for training camp; Totally different situation than Fowler last year. Fingers crossed.

Could have been much, much worse.

Not ideal to have Myles and Ramsey missing OTAs, but come on, we're going to have a great season.

Keep the faith :)

Steve

Agreed - if not for Fowler last year, this wouldn't even be news. This is not a serious injury - as long as it's JUST the meniscus.
