Man, I hope he gets well soon. Seems like he's been there forever. I remember as a kid living near the Channel 4 station, my friend's mom saw that he was outside in George's Garden doing a forecast. We drove thru the parking lot and shouted "HI GEORGE!" He cracked up.

I had no idea he  developed the formula that calculates heat index and was the first to use it. He also owns the copyright on the "from space" look of weather maps.
