Port considering running Mayport ferry

IMHO, they should charge high enough fares to cover all costs.  If not enough people use it to keep it going then let it die.

It's too bad the State cut the funding of the ferry (it connects a State road) which forced the City to pick it up.  I like the ferry, personally.  I would like to keep the ferry as part of Mayport Village, which I think could be a tourist destination if managed appropriately....of course, we haven't done too good a job so far.
