Anyone know of any Hardcore Gyms in Jacksonville?
The race is not always to the swift,
Nor the battle to the strong,
Nor satisfaction to the wise,

My lawn is my hardcore gym.    :)

What is a hardcore gym??  Are the weights heavier there??

There's a gym in the back of an auto shop on King's Ave that looks pretty hardcore.

That gym on Kings Ave. is the Crucible CrossFit.  They're all pretty hardcore.

LA Fitness is finally coming to the market at University Center (3540-3600 West University Blvd where a Dollar Tree and Publix are).  LA Fitness is a popular gym and probably on average considerably nicer than the average gym in Jacksonville.

Hardcore Gym is one that is not all dolled up like the YMCA I attend at Riverside, it is just machine's weights, and people lifting. No frills. I tried the Y thing it is not for me.

Good Gym, but I am not into Crossfit Training. I have my own training workout.

I don't know if you found an answer to your question, but there is a hardcore gym in jacksonville that opened in November 2011.  It's called Metroflex Gym; the address is
