Thanks I enjoyed the going away party we went to but found myself wishing I could have done both.

I had fun.
I arrived at the Landing at 7:37 saw Dan and there was another Crawler or two and the trolley had left. Lesson. If arriving at a bar as opposed to a cleanup your butt better be right on time. LMAO so I was late and now we are hoofing it over to Bay St. Remember it was hot. Get to Bay and other Crawlers are merging from other streets and its a Minny parade heading to the party. Someone says "Hey there is a Pub Crawl Trolley. The light had turned red and it had stopped. I didn't care if I still had 3,4,5 blocks to still walk to the first bar. I felt like I was crawling already. For me the trolley experience was part of the draw.

The door opens up and its the man with the box. I was so glad to see Field. The AC was also a nice bonus. The trolley was heading to Riverside and I didn't mind going for the ride. Are you ready for this but for me the last time I was on a trolley was the ribbon cutting ceremony at Castaway Island a Preservation Park Project and I was sitting across from Susie Wiles and she was on the phone asking why there was only one trolley and not two. A parking option for the ceremony was a school that was not close. The trolley was nice. The trolley ride back to Bay St. was packed.

Once on Bay we get to the bars. I got my wrist band on. I know Field was busy with the early logistics and I still had to get my drink coupons. See what running 7 minutes late can do. Fortunately we were going to be right there for awhile. Finally I feel like I was settling in to a routine. There is a strategy to some of this.

It was a lot of fun to meet so many people. I had the pleasure of meeting Mark the owner of Mark's and he was so gracious to be greeting and talking to everyone that was enjoying the Crawl. We talked briefly about the potential of the Pier and Mark just a shout out but if you would like to see Hogans Creek for yourself from a kayak I can guarantee that we'll Make it Happen. I know some of you are saying there he goes. Noone did it again. stuck an issue in a thread that has nothing to do with the Crawl. I disagree.

I was getting into the Bay St. Groove and then word was spreading fast that the trolley was leaving. I wasn't missing this ride again. The trolley was packed and it was a fun ride over to Riverside. Once there and the doors open everyone is piling out. A patron from one of the tables says "Its the Crawlers." I've never experienced it and don't know if I really want to but you could have had a red carpet out and the numbers of people that just emptied out and then emptied in.

I had a really good time.
I would just add when suggestions are made.
Drink responsibly.
Trolley responsibly.

My Manfriends and I definitely enjoyed. They are all recent transplants and hadn't experienced any Jax nightlife beyond the Beach bars and Blackfinn. I got the email on Wednesday or Thursday and figured this would be a great way to break them in. Some crazy SOB told them to "stay away from Downtown unless you want to get shot." upon their arrival. Best feedback was (with genuine surprise, at Rogue/Loft)... "Wow, this town actually DOES have character. I stand corrected. Lets come back tomorrow night."

Love the idea of a San Marco/Riverside crawl. Interested to see the lineup for next month, I'm sure the guys will recruit based on their experience. Also can't wait to see the pictures from Friday. The trolley rides in particular were pretty rad and worthy of documentation and publication. I'm still giggling at random flashbacks. ;D

A HUGE THANK YOU to all that attended.  Be sure to tell your friends about the next one.  The next two are going to be completely different.  I think you all will really enjoy yourselves with what we are planning.

If you were single and couldn't get luck Friday night, you really have no business trying.

BTW, had reports that non-Crawl downtown stops were dead as a doornail Friday night.

Glad everyone had a good time.  Pics will be up on the front page tomorrow morning.

apparently that was true for Mavericks (even though the Landing was packed)....but Northstar did very well Friday night (I stopped in around midnight)....in fact, it might be a good stop during the Pub Crawl....lets people get some food!

Yes, Northstar was busy.  But next door wasn't.  And neither was Dos Gatos and Lit, at least at midnight as the lady friend went there after the crawl left the Bay Street bars.

Just going off what people told me.

And we did have food.  I passed out over 100 flyers at the Landing showing which restaurants had food specials specifically for crawlers (in the $5 price points no less).  And Chicago Pizza sold slices to Pub Crawlers right at the Bold City Brewlympics at the Landing.

We tried to get a food cart at Walkers, but it fell through.  Kickbacks wasn't terribly busy though.  I stopped in at 1AM and got a to-go order that came out really quick.

BTW, best moment of the night was seeing TUFSU1 completely hammered at the Landing.  We gotta do that more often, lol.

The Landing food court was closed (majority of eateries on the flyers).  I ended up walking to Carmine's, from Loft, to grab some pizza before they closed at 11.

+1 to everything posted before this.

Had a fantastic time (once again) on the pub crawl and my little bro was amazed.  Looking forward to next month - assuming I can manage to get my mini-me to grandmas house again.

Some of us didn't stop after the pubcrawl, though - Saturday was another great time at Intuition for the PB&J Fair - which ended up being a crawl of its own (almost literally) as my group of 4 at Intution was a group of 7 at Carmines and by the time we fell through the front door of Kickbacks I wan't keeping count (not that I would have been very able)

Sunday has been productive, though, yard is done, pool is done, growler is half-empty and I made my first post of the day.

For the record, Noone absolutely whooped Field at taking shots.  I saw him accomplish back to back victories at Loft.  It was great to see that side of him.

TUFSU1 would like to dispuite this assertion...from his only slightly-cloudy recollection, somebody (fieldafm) was trying to break the rules by taking pitchers of beer from Hooters out to the courtyard :)

I caught Robert's food cart near the Hyatt around 1:30am and had a pork chop sandwhich and some wings. there was a line but it was so good when my turn came around.  Capt. your too kind but I don't think I've earned the rank that you are bestowing on me.

Yea Northstar was pretty crowded as we headed from Bay St to the Landing. Others look pretty empty. Northstar usually does well Friday night as they have Mad Cowford, which is an awesome show for anyone that hasn't checked them out.
