Jerome Browns BBQ to open manufacturing plant

Brown, owner of Jerome Brown Barbecue and Wings restaurant, has gained city financial support for his sauce-making venture. City Council recently approved a $380,000 loan and a $260,000 grant from the Northwest Jacksonville Economic Development Fund. The fund is aimed at promoting economic development in a part of the city that has struggled. The city expects the manufacturing plant will generate up to 56 jobs within three years.

Mustard based sauce is an acquired taste. Or, you have to enjoy trying different food tastes. I enjoy different tastes so I have been back for seconds (and more) when they had the taste test at Sam's Club. My wife, on the other hand, doesn't care for the mustard taste, so I guess we won't have that around the house.

For the record, I thought it was a good sauce and I hope Mr. Brown is super successful.

I do not care for Mustard Base BBQ Sauce. But I will go out and buy a bottle to support the cause.

WHile I don't like his BBQ the sause is pretty good.

I posted about this guy & business last year when he got the Wal Mart deal. Has anyone tasted the sauce yet?
