I find the photos HILARIOUS! Both of them! They look like they are going to beat the crap out of each other in a wrestling ring arena.

Would love to see the smug look on his face WHEN HE LOSES (Hogan , that is )

Interesting story from the Times Union online edition today:

"Alvin Brown sought an apology this morning from Mike Hogan for a fundraising letter mailed on Hogan letterhead that Brown said unfairly calls him a liberal and links him to President Barack Obama. But Hogan said his signature was forged on the letter and that he was unaware of its contents and had no interest in making it an issue."

QuoteThere is a natural smugness that comes with being part of a political party and power clique that have controlled Jacksonville for so long.

And Brown supporters are just as smug, thinking Brown can pull it out, yet he trails in polls, money and push. What can he do besides bus people to the polls? What new ideas can he bring out?

I have not heard anything new and do not expect to either.

What is really interesting is how Hogan twice changed his story on who the letter came from. Me thinks this campaign has gotten a little tougher than the good ol' boy from the westside thought it would be.

I am glad Hogan is feeling some competition. I too get sick of seeing his smug look all the time. I would love nothing more than showing up to church on the Sunday after the election and seeing him after a loss to Alvin!

I think he stands a greater chance of moving our city forward than Mr 16 pay raises will.  But then , you have always been on the GOB side M-train and that is fine.. to each their own.   Time will soon tell .. If Brown loses , I am sure you will be here gloating.. If Hogan loses , I promise not to rub it in your face.

polls are one thing.. the actual votes will tell the real story.   If my gut instinct was that Hogan was the man for the job,  I would vote for him. I don't think he is ,just as you don't think Brown is. So please...respect the position of those of us who choose to vote for Brown... no one is slamming you for voting for Hogan

Just read in the Jacksonville business journal that the baptist health CEO Hugh Green and Regions bank president Marty Lanahan have endorsed Alvin Brown.

What do we expect from Alvin Brown?  Do we expect his campaign to go around scraping and bowing?  Just because they believe that they have a chance does not mean that they have the same cockiness that our local GOPers have about their dominance of state and local politics.  Senator Marco Rubio coming in to campaign, in my opinion, is the equivalent of running up the score in a football game.  If Hogan is ahead by such a wide margin, bringing in Rubio is a bit over the top in my opinion.

Traditional GOP backers. What does that say about Mike Hogan?

That is old news, Mayo President as well as a few others have jumped into Brown's camp as well. Go read the TU rags, its in there from last week along with a bunch of Mulaney supporters.

^ LOL, that's the most "entertaining" political "commercial" I think I have ever seen.  If Brown could market Jacksonville like this, he definitely should have the job.  :D
Hey!  Whatever happened to just plain ol' COMMON SENSE!!

Just in case you want it in your iPod, iPhone, etc...  Here's the audio track alone. ;)
