Well this just can't be good....

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- The government is taking over three Tylenol plants following a blizzard of drug recalls and a Food and Drug Administration criminal investigation into safety issues at the factories.

The FDA and the Justice Department on Thursday took action against McNeil PPC and two of its executives -- its vice president of quality and its vice president of operations for over-the-counter products -- for failing to comply with federally-mandated manufacturing practice.

That's scary...but they probably thought that their congressman would take care of it for them.

Let's just hope this isn't another step toward government produced drugs...

Sell/return the companies back to the free market!

Correction this hasn't been good.  Somebody doing something about it may or may not end up being good.

I meant it can't be good that this company is in such horrible shape the government needs to take it over. I am curious as to what the issue is, since all the article referenced was "number of recalls". I can only think of one this past year, but apparently there were many. Of course a LOT of companies have multiple recalls (ie Graco, Chevy, Toyota) but are not taken over y the government?

I took it wrong. and you are right on.

They should move to Florida, Gov. Voldemort would protect them from unreasonable controls to ensure the health and safety of average Americans.
