Tonite inspite of mike hogan packing the hob nob with fire fighters including the firefighters union president along with many many members of first baptist church, Audrey moran actually tied him for first place in the straw poll for first place, 262 votes a piece. Mullaney was way behind at only75 votes, at an event he should have had much more strength. Looking more and more  like a Moran / hogan run off. Moran was a giant killer. a very good nite for Moran. The hogan insiders were stunned tonite.

What's great is that Hogan's people were rocked to their heels and don't have anything they can do about it.  Audrey is a strong candidate in this race, stronger than Mullaney, and Brown.  Maybe as strong as Hogan at the moment.  The momentum has been heading her way for the last couple of weeks.  She makes the runoff and then skates to the finish.

Last night was great!  Audrey's win was so impressive because she didn't pack the house with campaign volunteers like Hogan did.  She simply worked the room, introducing herself to people and showing why she is the best candidate for the job!

I was there at the hob nob and didn't see all the firefighters and first baptist church and all the hogan volunteers you mentioned. Randy Wyse and Mark Treglio were the 2 firefighters present. I saw as many audrey shirts as hogan shirts. You guys need to tell the truth and stop exaggerating! I was laughing that they tied, with joy. I clapped for both of them. I thought how remarkable it was and fun! I was standing at the door near the hogan campaign when the votes were announced. hogan's people were laughing too. Both campaigns have worked very hard for many months and kudos to both on their efforts. It has certainly paid off. It is true that moran has gained in the last couple of months moving from 4% to 9% to 17% and now possibly further. But, do not stretch the truth. Again, congrats to her campaign as well as hogan's. Come on y'all. It was a great night and everyone had fun.

Not to start a he said/she said

But Mr Carlucci's observations were pretty spot on RE: firefighters/FBC members.

I agree that it was a quite fun evening.

How did you know they were all FBC members? do they stand out, look different? just curious. I am one, but not in the Hogan camp.

I would add, "Big Night for Kimberly Daniels." Her group was fantastic when Holland announced Kimberly had won the poll.  ;D

shhh, fsujax, don't let them hear you say that, you will have your email hacked and your identity revealed and issued a "no trespass" order.

fsujax

Charles. not too worried about that. there are more people that go there and read this site, then many know!

I'm not an FBC hater by ANY MEANS.

But, walking along Bay Street and throughout the Hyatt parking garage... there were a WHOLE lot of FBC license plate frames(with Hogan bumper stickers).  I wasnt looking for them mind you... but I just happened to notice it.  That's too much of a coincidence in such a small space downtown ;)

Hopefully common sense will prevail at the REAL polls on this one. We do not need a city council member that prophesies hate.

hogan's people were laughing too.

What were they laughing at?  Did he tell another one of his blockbuster "abortion clinic" jokes?
