Could've been someone very close - maybe they were too noisy.

Do the neighbors have wind chimes?

I'm guessing from the comments that this is the new clientele that is patronizing Rogue these days...
For those of you who've seen it, I'm sure you'll watch it again, for those of you who haven't, enjoy.

I started noticing the D-Bag infiltration of King Street around the holidays this past year.  I chalked it up to being vacation time but it looks like they are sticking it out through the new year.  I purposely avoid the area Thursday through Saturday nights now.  I've been sticking with good old wall street on the weekends and O'bros or Lomax occasionally

Also, Sorry about your wind chimes.  Were they unique in someway?  Not sure what would make somebody want wind chimes so much that they would scale a fence to get them.

In these times nothing surprises me.  I sure am sorry to hear your wind chimes were stolen.. I have 4 of them in front of my house..... Guess anything you do not want stolen (whether you think its something that people would or would not steal ) , has to be under lock and key.. and even that may not work :(

Garden guy

i live on college and sorry but I've seen a much different clientele since the new bars opened up...seems like the gay bars are much more peaceful....these drunk straight boys are just idiots...i guess a wiskey bar makes people drunker than normal. I"m just sayin'.

Sorry about the 'chimes, dollar store 'chimes are probably a good replacement. McAllister just tells you what you want to hear. Steve at Kickbacks has more regulars who help him keep peace. Thankful none of the rowdies have made it to Intuition. If they do, Robbie and Amy will be cracking some skulls!

No, they weren't one of a kind or anything, just nice Woodstock ones from Midnight Sun in 5 Points (not the most expensive, but not exactly cheap either) but they were a Mother's Day present for my wife from several years ago, so they definitely had sentimental value more than anything.  They can be replaced and the fence picket repaired, but the thing that really got my goat was the fact that someone actually walked over to the house, climbed up onto the fence and reached above the back deck to grab them.  It's an older house, but WTF, does it look abandoned?  How drunk do you have to be to risk breaking your neck or getting shot at over something stupid like windchimes?

I'm also a little surprised that even though there were several people within a stone's throw at the time no one saw the person up on the fence grabbing them.  I guess it's fair to say that free Pabst Blue Ribbon does attract a certain distinct type of a*hole.

Anyway, I picked up some new ones at Midnight Sun over the weekend.  Thanks for letting me vent y'all--it's helped with the healing process. :D

Sorry to hear about everyone else's run ins with local d-baggery too--misery loves company, eh?

Amy is good at it... a long time veteran of London Bridge! :)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Everyone just needs to stick with Birdies, Lomax & Wall St. You dont have as much d-baggery there. I'm happy for the success of the new places on King st though....different strokes and such!

We imagine-usually spot on- that wind chimes are not a target of the thug because those that really appreciate wind chimes are of a higher level so to speak, and not prone to stealing.

This thread is a hint to why the surrounding counties have leveraged perception to Duval's detrimernt.

It's amazing how stupid people can get when they have had too much to drink. They will take anything and maybe not even remember dealing damage and stealing things the next day.

I know someone who woke up one morning only to discover a parking cone lifted off the streets now decorating their living room, with no clue as to where it came from after a bender.  ;D

All you can do about this is send lots of love and positive reinforcement their way... because it sounds like their behavior is going to really get them in trouble one day with someone far less gracious and understanding than you have been.
