Noone, I've met with Councilman Redman several times. Once to promote more attention to bicycle and pedestrian safety in Jacksonville and once to protest a street closure in the historic district by a well-connected businessman. The meetings were friendly with shared personal experiences. He understood the issues and was generally helpful.

Garden guy

Do councilmen get pension for life and how much time do they have to spend on council to get that pension?

JJ apreciate the feedback. Cycling is his passion and can understand the topic and issue. Did you meet at his office in the St. James building?  The protest of a street closure was that Palmer Terrace park or Holmesdale and a meeting at the Mudville? I'm just taking a WAG.

Thanks for the response.

Has anyone had a meeting on the 4th floor with councilman Redman and want to share the experience?

Field, We are all being set up for Shipyards III. The Public Trust just absolutely crushed.

This has got to be the funniest thread on the forums.

These people don't even know the boundaries of their own districts, awesome!

The state of Florida is watching and we are a JOKE!

Gaffney, Redman, do something. Either of you could be the biggest hero's in the country. Offer a resolution that you even think that our river is important.

Respectfully asking. Please.

Right now. Everyone turn to FCN. First Coast News and when Steve Smith shows the weather and map of Downtown look at the Promised 680' Downtown Public Pier and is it just me or do they now show a ship moored next to the pier. Breaking news. Councilman Redman, Please do something. I'm being completely and totally ignored.

Be concerned and keep score.

Noone

It was repeated at 6:20 and 6:41. That in and of itself is a major news story. Who's going to break the story behind the story? Watch at noon.

fieldafm

I can't view this, I'm at work.  Is this a graphic they use to illustrate weather forecasts or something.. and the graphic designer just stuck a ship in there?

Did anyone else happen to see this and tune in? Don't be shy.

Bativac, I'll tie this thread into the USS Adams thread. But another reason why I'm voting Mike Hogan for Mayor

For the two unopposed city council candidates and especially the one who is supposed to represent Downtown the no show at the forum that was named "Downtown Turnaround" was a slap in the face to not only the the Board members of Downtown Vision but to Terry Lorrince, her staff and every citizen who participated and took their time to show up and listen to what our elected legislative representatives are planning to do.

As for the Promised 680' Downtown Public Pier the Governor of the state of Florida is aware of the issue. And he is correct in that right now its a local issue. In my opinion its turning into Shipyards III. After the elections it escalates in my opinion to another statewide joke. Scott I've emailed you. Actually I've emailed Don. Do something. Waiting for an email response back. We were there together and both heard that the pier can happen now. 2010-604- What are you afraid of?

Again I give super props to Michelle Tappouni who knows and is making an impressive attempt to understand a Downtown issue that could immediately catapult this community in how it provides access to our St. Johns River our American Heritage River in our Downtown Jacksonville Overlay Zoning District and how the total Govt takeover of our Entertainment District by a yet created DIA by a recommendation of the Jacksonville Civic Council that would still have to be voted on by our Jacksonville city council will effect our community for decades to come.

So who's next?
Anyone who wants to see Hogans Creek from the water just give me a call.
Top of the list goes to anyone in the spring elections.
Any of the members of the Jacksonville Civic Council.
Anyone who is participating in the JCCI study which is going on right now and its called Recession, Recovery, and Beyond.
Tera Meeks-New Division Chief for Property Management and Programming
Paul Anderson- the new Director of the JPA
Daniel O"Byrne new Director of Visit Jacksonville.

Be concerned. Keep score.

To the Honorable Don Redman,

Jaxport- "Bring the Noise"

Councilman Redman, Please be the good guy and not the bad guy and introduce legislation that would keep the Promised 680'Downtown Public Pier separate that was part of Shipyards/Landmar 2010-604.

Don't be afraid of this.

Please introduce the legislation before the next city council and Mayor takes office.

Palms Creek Fish Camp?

The Public Trust has just been totally crushed in this community. Your legislative action will go towards restoring that trust.

"Bring the Noise" So everyone will be able to access, celebrate, promote, preserve our St. Johns River our American Heritage River within our Downtown Jacksonville Overlay Zoning District 2003-627.

Councilman Redman, Make some Noise.

I've been trying to reach out. My city councilman has chosen to do nothing. His perrogative. I'm hoping that with the release of the newest JCCI study tomorrow and the Jacksonville Waterways commision meeting that the citizens will realize for it to happen that it will require intervention from outside of Duval County. Vote on Ethics tonight at the city council meeting. Will it happen?

Who gets the vote for leading the conspiracy to deny Public Access and economic opportunity to our St. Johns River our American Heritage River a Federal Innitiative?  Shipyards III

Have any of the candidates agreed to file the legislation?

Are you kidding. They are not in a position of legislative authority. Any of the candidates.  Don can file the legislation. And for the record I've been directed to go to the barbershop too. File the legislation. What are you afraid of?

When is the next Board meeting of Downtown Vision? Open up the Pier. Use the River. Don, can't make any more excuses and pass the buck. Don't allow this to be Shipyards III.

Councilman Redman, Please as one of the last legislative actions before the institutional knowledge is lost with the current administration and city council and this is the logic that is being used for rushing through the pension legislation, JTA land giveaway (Remember that meeting before you were sworn in) then why aren't you and the other council members that were at the political honbnob back in November addressing this request?

2011-604-Shipyards/Landmar
2011-364-RAM-$1 a year. Not in Waterways-30 day notice to terminate.
Palms Fish Camp- Huge taxpayer bailout-Who gets the promotion? Who gets fired? 30 day notice to terminate.
2011-239-?
2010-675-USS Adams, taxpayer bailout?
2010-856-Exempt the Waterways- Why aren't you doing anything? The other 12 counties of the SJRA is aware of this. Just destroy economic opportunity.
So many more examples.

Who's next to kayak Hogans Creek an Urban Waterway Destination?

Councilman Redman with the pier. Do something to restore the Public Trust. You are now chair of Waterways. Its in your District for now and you are in a powerful leadership position to do something positive. Remember you ignored this forum.
Councilman Gaffney with Hogans Creek. Councilman Gaffney was lso absent from this forum.
Did anyone else hear on the fishing shows this weekend of watercraft restrictions on Simpsons Creek? This hasn't been in Waterways. Why?
Be concerned. I'm scared to death.
