The Jacksonville Landing, filling up, and getting better all the time

My most recent trip to The Landing, I've noticed its really filling up with stores and places to eat. Not only is this going on in the part facing the mighty St. Johns, but also, new places are developing along the "backside" fronting Water St/ Independent Drive. A new sports bar or something of the sort has opened, and features live bands and musicians, mainly Fri thru Sun. Also, a new AT&T Wireless Store is under construction, adjacent to it. So now, Starbucks is not the only thing, other than the Compass Bank ATM facing Independent Drive. Now, if we can get those tacky-ass outlet stores out and put something in the place of Fuddrucker's, which I think is dead, and fill it up with more appealing, lively, and upscale cafes, stores, restaurants, and such in place. Oh, the new honky-tonk has its soft opening for the game this weekend, still, can't beat the ones from my hometown of Nashville. The Landing has a bright future.

It could be brighter if they ever get started on the long awaited parking garage.

IMO, it's still WAY, WAY, too small...No parking...No Mass Transit...and NO JTA, I'm not talking about another stinking bus!
