I have just seen this article for the first time.  Those images gave me goose bumps, and some other bumps that we won't mention.  What a brilliant F%$#ing IDEA!!  Let's reclaim what was once a massive transit hub (and is now a barely functioning convention center) and expand an efficient transit system that is already in place with a jelling of rail and bus lines.  HOLY S*&T!  How does a project like this die on the vine before it can even be adequately explored?  Oh, yeah.  BECAUSE IT'S A GOOD IDEA THAT WON'T COST $700 MILLION!  Ok, I'm done.

Not at all dead. This plan might break ground next year! The trouble is, it is a poor plan for a Transportation Center. The very concept is to bring all the modes under one roof, a one-stop shop. Until the City gets the barely functioning Convention Center out and packs it off to places unknown, the Prime Osbourne is a noose around the neck of the TC. Get the convention center out of the way and knock it the heck down. THEN we can return the Temple of Florida Transportation to the trains and buses, as God intended. JTA has a GREAT idea here, but unless Prime Osbourne leaves, it is a great idea with a very fatal flaw. That's my view...
