Not sure where to put this comment to the author - sort of off topic, but:

I noticed on veterans day that the Riverside trolley was rerouted so that it ended about a mile from the parade. Wouldn't it make sense to have the trolley rerouted so it ends 10 feet from the parade? That way people can take the trolley to riverside for lunch and relaxation afterwards?

I talked with the bus driver and he said that JTA gets their info from the police, and there's little "planning" or coordination involved. He also said that a similar rerouting would happen for the GatorBowl parade later this year.

What do you think - is connecting the parade and trolley route a good idea? If so, what would you suggest for next steps be to bring this to the attention of JTA and the police?

Water street was closed for the parade so the trolley went as far as any vehicle could go. They were stopping people at the overpass on Riverside Ave that leads to Water. My parents took the trolley and got dropped off at the Y which was the last stop.

It seems like an okay place to drop people you could either watch it from the Riverside/ Water St intersection or just walk a quarter mile on the riverwalk and watch it near the landing.
