Anyone here remember Willy Idle's Rock and Roll Video Show? I'm pretty certain that was the name of it, it was hosted by a couple of guys, primarily an older dude in sunglasses and a Tina Turner wig. They played all kinds of awesome videos and had some really weird segments on their show. It used to come on the old Continental Cable public access channel. I just remember them playing some pretty edgy videos for their time and pretty interesting interviews with bands playing in town.

It went away and there was another video show called Backbeat or something like that it was really good too. There was a local movie review show as well and I remember them showing really gruesome clips from horror movies. The internet- mainly youtube made these types of shows a relic but I really enjoyed them and I was always curious as to who Willy Idle really was.

They never did get as popular as that one Bargain Hound guy or whatever he was- he wore that creepy dog outfit and lone ranger mask and interviewed people. I remember seeing him at a store opening once and was pretty awestruck.
