Shoot out in EverBank today. A very exciting game. There's really been some bad officiating this yr in the NFL. We were robbed of a defensive TD. I thought David and the offense played well, along with the special teams. Defense was horrid as usual, bad fundamentals, poor tackling. Hey we won so all is good. BIG game next week.
Agreed Agreed Agreed. And I must say I loovveeeee Pot roast! He has really stepped it up this year.
I think Pot Roast heard me cheering for him from my living room! What a game! Not perfectly played but we found a way to win despite giving up some big plays on defense. MJD and Jennings were the one-two punch we needed. Garrard was pretty sharp and special teams really stepped up.
Now on to Indy! we need to find a way to shut them down and win! Go Jags.
Poor tacking indeed!! But you have to give it to Darren McFadden.. He's a beast!!
I was a little late walking into the Stadium.. is it true that the crowd Boo'd Rasheen Mathis??
It's I Hate the Colts week!! Go Jags!!
Absolutely the most "cardiac" team in the league. Still frozen on the edge of the sofa with not much voice left... Is the heart beating? Wait till next week y'all, I'm thinking Jags stampede the Colts.

Yesterday was a crazy game. I'll be honest, at one point I thought we were going to lose. Darren McFadden has to have at least 30 fantasy points from yesterday.
In the previous two games, the Jags had 6 points in the second half between the two games. Yesterday we had 31!!
One complaint: I wish we controlled the clock a little more at the end of the games. Maurice Jones Drew keeps busting through and running 50+ yards for a score with 2 minutes still on the clock. It's not the worst thing in the world, but I'd like to run out some more clock on our last drives.

depends on the league....he was on my opponent's team in one of my leagues and scored 38 (though I'm still winning)....guessing whoever has him in the MJ league got over 40 points.
I dont wanna jinks it, but I think we got this ina bag. The Jags have really impressed us and have been playing good football. With mistakes and all weve been finding ways to win. We seem to get better and better every week. These guys are deticated, hard working, and they care about the city and do not want to let us down. ESPECIALLY Mojo. If you havent noticed, when we lose Mojo looks like he going to cry. He is very passionate about this team and its success, and so are the other guys. Im seeing that old team from the 90's more and more each game. We are going to be a force to be reckoin with next season.
What a game! I have zero voice today... mostly from screaming about all the terrible calls. The first half fight on the sidelines between Kassim and Raiders goons made me blow my stack. So furious.
I thought we were done at the half. The Raiders seemed to have complete control. Then in the 4th I thought the Jags had it locked up especially after the fumble / score which was overturned.
At 31 all I was mentally out of gas. Deji's 65 yard return was up there with the field goal win vs the Colts and the hail-mary win over the Texans.
I saw some fans in the south endzone had a sign the read 'deji-see that?!' Yes I did.
31 point in the second half was unprecedented for this team - 'twas a thing of beauty.
Man...I love this team...but for once could we win one in such a blowout that we don't have to leave it down to the last seconds??? I don't know if my heart can handle much more of those!!!! LOL
Secondary still needs to tighten up. Other than that I am thrilled.
The pass rush looked a lot better than against NYG and the Titans. I don't care if you have a secondary with Ed Reed, Ronnie Lott, Deion Sanders (in their primes), and Darelle Revis, if you have no pass rush from the front four, receivers will continue to get open, and torch the secondary.
Yup SMoody, they booed Rashean. I don't understand the Rashean hate crap, he ONLY led us to playoff wins! Mathis played a pretty good game. Derek Cox had an awful game against the Raiders. Carey got humilated on that Mc Fadden tackle attempt; That was a nasty stiff-arm that was similar to the Mojo play against the Titans. Look for The Jax/Oakland game to be on NFL Network replay; If a game is competive and exciting, it's a lock to be on NFL replay. Jax had three other games on NFL replay (IND, HOU, and NYG). I can't wait when Jax take the division crown next week! Go Jags!
NFL rewind/replay Wed 8pm. If we win in Indy the Bank should be sold out no excuses!!

I always worry about Christmas games in Jacksonville. With so many transients in such a small market, you've got to think that a lot of people, myself included, who would otherwise love to be at the game, simply can't due to out-of-town holiday committments.
Nothing wrong with watching this team that 6-7 shots of Rebel Yell won't fix!

Good point. And some of us just don't have sitters lined up for games...
EXCEPT for the next few!! Kid's going off with the grands, and I've already told Santa (hubby) that we ARE buying tickets.

He scored 42.90 points in the MJ league, and I was very happy about it. Lake, however, probably wasn't.
Bring on the next playoff round!
I have been in a daze all day. When the season started I had no clue it would have ended so great. With all the ups and down, we still overcame. Even without the division crown, this has been a heck of a year!!!
It really has been an exciting yr. 5-2 at home and all 5 victories nail biting, heart wrenching wins. Jags please beat the redskins 31-10. I may need throat surgery at the end of the season. I have re-watched the Raider game and NFL your officiating must improve its unsatisfactory big time!!!
Ugh....I lost by .3 of a point in the MJ Fantasy league...just 1 more catch (even for no yards) by Boldin or 3 less yards for Foster and I would have won.
oh well, at least the Ravens beat the Texans!
^ I saw that this morning. That was extremely close. I was suprised Lake almost came back and beat me. I already figured I won after Sunday, but I only got edged him by 3 points.
Wow another tough loss for the Texans!!! Why not run the ball with Foster that close to your own goal line??
At first I thought that the "Middleton hitting QB in the head/ Potroast TD takeaway" was BS until I saw NFL replay. It was pretty obvious that Middleton hit him in the head. If you don't like Goodell's overreaction of pansying NFL QB's then that's a whole different story, but all the officials were doing were rightfully enforcing Goodell's rules. Luckily that play didn't cost us the game.
Well if that's the truth then why did we not get several calls when DG was hit in the head and knocked down after the ball was clearly out of his hands. Their not consistent unless your Brady/Manning. Middleton was also fined, its not like he lead with his helmet.
Keith is right. Middleton did NOT lead with his head. The impact was caused by the other players forcing him back into Middleton. Also, Campbell's injury was the result of his head hitting the ground. Fines should be assesed on a case by case basis using the game footage. The penalty can't be changed but Middleton should not be fined.

That is the current system for evaluating fines. For instance James Harrison has been fined numerous times this season for plays that weren't even called as penalties on the field. The league reviews all the hits and the fines vary for the severity of the what has been determined as illegal contact. Harrison has been fined $25K 3 times (I believe) vs. Middleton's fine of $5K,
Then again at the same time, there are several calls that they SHOULD make, and they dont. They need to be consistant, because it seems that everyone notices this except for them. Or they do and just dont care.

I don't think its because they don't care, its more of a line of sight issue. We can see a more complete view of the field of play whereas the officials have a more specific area of focus. On the other hand, they can see things the fans can't as well. Relying completely on the cameras would be a deathblow to the sport. Good/bad play calling keeps the fan's intrigue intact and allows the players and coaches to play the sport as it was intended.

Human error for better or worse is part of the game. If heard many times that officials could call holding on almost every play. It is what it is.
^^^IDK. It just seems like they have done a horriable this year in particular. Every call they have made this year in the NFL, not only Jag games has made me say, "WTF!!!"
