Additional 30!

Will it come to a penalty kick showdown?

Jacksonville: We're not vertically challenged, just horizontally gifted!

Satellite down. Bad weather. Right at the end. What a bummer!

Sorry about your Oranje, Danno.

Not a lovely game, more a slugfest.

^Leave it to a crazed Barca fan to keep trying this stunt.

Great crowd at the 5 Points Theater.  About 60/40 Spain/Netherlands fans.  One of the Oranje fans had just returned from South Africa and had brought a couple of real vuvuzelas with her.  She had attended several games in a couple of different cities in South Africa and was really complimentary about the facilities and the warmth of the South Africans.

Game was ugly.  I was rooting for the Dutch, but lost enthusiasm for them as they kept kicking their opponents instead of the ball.  Spain's play was just beautiful.

The final was a bit of a letdown in terms of quality of play. But I thought overall, this World Cup was the closest in terms on talent that I have ever seen.

Thank goodness this thing is over. I really tried this year to enjoy soccer, but I can't. I can't enjoy a  game that ends with 1-0. To me, it seems like the luckier team wins, not the better team. Its a crap shoot. I may try again in 4 years, but this World Cup left me disliking soccer even more. Sorry if that offends anyone, but I hated it.

Funny, I find basketball boring for exactly the opposite reason.  Score 148-144?  Yawn.  Run, shoot, score; run, shoot, score.......repeat ad nauseum.

To each their own.
