the health care plan saves money, auggie.  the amount was already going to be spent, except that we would have spent more on it before the HCR bill.

You and I differ in that opinion. I will say no more than that so as to not take this thread off track. The whole point of which is to say, yes there is still plenty of bad news out there. But as you mentioned none of the positve news gets mentioned.  The points that I brought up are,

Positive news.

What data have I manipulated? None.

Is the economy not in great shape right now? Yes.

Are things moving in a better direction.  I guess you have chosen no.  I have chosen yes.

It was funny that last night they reported the huge surge by both Fedex and UPS, as just last week I happened to be sitting in a room with a bunch of upty ups from those companies that were talking about their major hiring plans.  Its not there yet, but if you truly believe this economy is going to be bad for the next couple of years than either you dont know what you are talking about or you are just choosing to be down about the economy's future.

Let me put it to you like this.  Now matter how many things point in the "right" direction, nothing has changed for some of us.  We are mostly powerless to do anything about the situations we find ourselves in regardless of retail sales numbers or housing starts.
I cannot agree with this.
We have the power to adapt. We have the power to sacrifice. We have the power to do more, with less. Those who view themselves as powerless....are.

You are right of course, however....

I understand that looking at this conversation is like seeing through a straw, just because I complain about how jacked up things are does not mean I have abandoned hope or stopped trying to adapt.  I dont want to get too far into my personal life but this is a very small aspect of it, although it is demanding a lot of attention.

I think that last two posts are AWESOME.  Great point by Bucket and JC your post could have gone many ways, but I think it was a great response.  Everyone on here hopes things change quickly in this particular part of your life.  I love the saying "money does not make the world go round but it certainly greases the axle". Its tough to see all the good and impoving aspects of life when there is such a HUGE part of it that is dragging the rest down.
