MetroJacksonville's ears should have been buzzing tonight.  Councilwoman Johnson gave several props to the whole MetroJax crew during her speech for the remarkable common-sense positions and proposals made on this site's home page.

An over-capacity audience squeezed into the 5 Points Theatre for the kickoff event.  A MetroJax principal (or two) attended and I'm sure you'll be hearing more from Glorious in the days and weeks to come.

True that....she most certainly gave praise to several metrojax members and to the team as a whole. Glorious is one candidate that is very much behind the transportation issues that Jax sorely needs.

Glorious is a wise and down to earth person .  I personally believe that if she becomes Mayor, she will not let us down.  No one person can solve all the issues of the needs of Jacksonville, but I firmly believe she would be the first Mayor in decades to give this everything she has.  She is the only Council person who stood behind me and supported my efforts on the Cleanup at Public School House #4..which will , hopefully someday resume.  I know I can count on her, and she very certainly can count on me. Thank you Ms. Glorious!  I wish you every success , you richly deserve!

Glorious is a person who will help someone if she able too.  Now as far as Mayor  she will do a major make over on this city.   She also listens to the small people too.  She is the only Council Member that came out to our thrift store in the Murray Hill area and listened to us about the Signage Issue.

Beware all business owners due to Ordinance 2010-253  Weekend  Directional Signage will be rough for every business owner who wants to put there signs on the city right of way for advertisement of there business. If this ordinance is approved by the LUZ Board and the City Council Members.

The next LUZ board meeting is Wednesday June 2,2010 at 5 P.m.  at City Hall in the City Council Chambers 1st Floor.  I encourage all small business owners to be there and also the people of the community to voice your opinions to help us small businesses stay open and keep people employed. And keep the buildings occupied instead of vacant.

Hours: 3 pm Friday to 3 pm Sunday only for this ordinance Otherwise no signs will be on the city right of way  and the following fines will be enforced.

Also 70% of the fines will go to JTA  and the other 30 % will go to Code Enforcement to educate the people of Litter of the Signs.
