Still looking kind of paltry.  Courthouse is still on track.  Hope that a new city within downtown reaches skyward in that area.  Otherwise, not much going on, it appears, near the urban core.

What is that building on St. Johns going to be?

One half will be a restaurant (don't know the name) and the other a specialty retail shop.

Although i've only driven by at night, the Perdue Office Interiors looks like a really cool storefront. Anyone been inside to check it out?

glad to see the courthouse is coming on up, after all it took to get it started

I thought the Laura Street improvement project was slated to start the day after New Year's, what's the status with that?

For the love of God, would people who open businesses in Springfield do away with the bars and metal gates on their store fronts!

From what I can tell, some work has started...but its just utility relocations, so no construction per se.

^True. Perhaps, in the future when better dialogue takes place, things like this will be easier to handle.  Does anyone know what will happen with their existing location, just north of the tracks?

Hopefully the city will come in and replace that poor Crape Myrtle in front of the Jimmy Johns soon.

That space in Avondale looks great, can't wait to hear more about it.  I saw workers at Lit scrambling around at about 8pm on Friday night.  I know they are working as hard as they can to get things finished up. I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
