LMAO

You deserve that Lake for bringing up such painful memories.

Here's one you might remember from the same season:

Captain, its all in fun and no ill will intended.  If you can't tell, I'm a die hard Dolphin fan.

Low blow Shwaz!  A horrible ending for the best QB to ever play the game.  Come Sunday, its pay back time.

Lol These trips down memory lane would be even more depressing if we have no team : /

No offense intended toward the legacy of the '72 Dolphins, but while we're on the subject of beating teams with no winning records, if I remember right the Dolphins only faced one team that finished over .500 all that season and that was the 8-6 Patriots.  Obviously, it didn't hurt the Dolphins come playoff time, but they were actually an underdog in that Super Bowl.

It's possible one of the Jaguars' victims from this year will still finish with a winning record...maybe the Jets because I seem to recall their closing schedule was soft.

... or the Dolphins  ;)

I actually wouldn't mind the Dolphins or Jets' running the table (other than the Dolphins' inevitable loss to the Jaguars  :)) for the pleasure of seeing the Patriots miss the postseason.

I agree with Charlie Crist. The Jags are doing okay though with Garrard. But still, Tebow would make a perfect fit. Have Tebow go to the Jaguars squad, and watch all the tarp be removed from the stands.

And then when the Jaguars lose because Tebow is a mediocre NFL QB, the tarps go back on.

Lake care to make it (more) interesting? Avatar bet?

Excellent.

I guess we can wait for a pic to use after the game and one that's from the game or we could just do a final scoreboard pic showing the score.

Thoughts?

Tebow might boost ticket sales if he comes to the Jaguars, but I honestly believe that he won't excel in the NFL like he did in the College ranks.  There are still questions about his arm strength, accuracy, etc.  He seems to be a good leader and rallier of the troops when the game is on the line, but I have yet to see him exhibit his pure passing abilities relative to arm strength and accuracy; this was exposed in the Alabama game when they took away his scrambling/running ability and the running game and Florida had to play catch up.  He seemd totally like a fish out of water and uncomfortable having to throw the ball to play catch up.

Please don't get me wrong; I like Tim Tebow and wish him well. I hope he ranks high on the draft list but I doubt it. He could be a good fit for Jax; it all depends on how Del Rio fits him into the current scheme or invents a scheme for Tebow to command the offense (if he wins first string).

It'll be interesting to see how he fares in the draft, what team finally picks him, and why they pick him.  I'll bet he'll only be selected for second string duties or for wild cat duties.

We already have a QB with Tebowesque size and athletic skills who's been converted to TE in Zach Miller.

Vic Ketchman seems to be dropping a lot of hints as to potential interest in Edwards, the Appalachian State QB.
