Tebow To The Jags?

Jags fans are not interesting in Tebow. Jags need to win and fans need to be real fans end of story.

I am a Gator hater, but I am on the fence on the "Tebow being drafted by the Jags" conversation. The one thing about him that is really clear is he is a hard worker and you can't discount that. He has the size and he can scramble.... But does he have the arm for the NFL and can he get a stronger arm once in the NFL... He obviously doesn't let off field issues get to him... The one thing you never hear in the NFL though is that a QB busts his butt and still does not succeed... and to whoever posted we don't have an O line, we have a decent O line that in the next 2-3 years will be one of the best O lines in the league and still young..... I also think with the way he reaches out to the community, he could definitely sell enough tix to have the games on TV.... I guess we will see what happens next year... But Garard and Mcown are not the future QB's of the Jacksonville Jaguars..... thats a fact....

These discussions are already old and tiresome. is there an "ignore thread" feature?

In a few months, it will turn to "The Jags should have drafted Tebow!"

Gene Smith and the Jaguars had a dynamite draft this year. I don't think they would draft Tebow to appease a small minority of fence straddling Jaguar fans.

He already has the arm strength.  The alleged problem is his throwing mechanics and ability to read defenses.  Those things MIGHT be fixable.  Maybe.  If I were Mr. Weaver I would want signed contracts with fans obligating them to buy season tickets if Tebow is drafted.  Enough contracts to fill 10,000 seats before I would commit to drafting him.

You'd also need enough to make up for the people who sign contracts not to buy tickets if he's drafted.

Enough, let's wait til the season is over and we can see whether he's developed as a passer and what the draft order is.

K guys.  The Jags suck.  A lot.  Even more than that.  They suck more than the worst seasons of the Bucs and Dolphins combined -- WHY?  Because no one wants to go see those games.  However, I, poor no-lawnmower-teacher-salary self that I am would gladly plunk down $30 or $40 a ticket (teacher prices, natch) to see Tebow play with the Jags.

Moreover, Tebow could get away with playing like a maniac the first two seasons because no one had really encountered that sort of play-style before.  You'll notice that after the Old Miss game, he changed his playing style to fit more with the team.

He's very coachable and very popular.  The Jags would be stupid not to pick him.  Indeed, I wouldn't be surprised if Tebow "missed" the filing deadline and went with the 2nd draft to the Jags.

Nobody wants to see those games because they are not true fans end of story. One reason the Jags are not a good team is because of bad drafting. They've learned from those mistake, therefore the Jags would be stupid to pick him. Wow you Tebow people are in for a real surprise next year.

The Jags first round picks suck anyway, what is the worst Tebow could do? Our QB now is worth 60 million and he was a second round pick. Weaver should clean house of all of them. Del Rio would rather build a 1-9-1 defense and toy with it all year long than find a way to score some points.

I don't think drafting Tebow or any other high profile college player will change anything.  Jacksonville needs to get it together and start supporting this team or one morning all of us will wake up and headlines will read "Jaguars move to Los Angeles."

And it will be without explanation believe me.  (the Baltimore syndrome)

This is my worst nightmare, however, I do think Tebow would help sell tickets.  I do agree the people of Jax need to do a much better job of supporting the Jags.

Any word on that multi-billion dollar stadium Los Angeles has proposed.  I know there was somesort of lawsuit?

Just came across these in another forum.  Figured I'd post them in this thread.
