You sure about this?

Can't seem to find any info on this location on their site or the web.

I found nothing as well. Although I did find that there is a Jimmy Johns in Jacksonville, IL and there was a fella named Jimmy Johns in the 1989 graduating class of Mandarin High School.

Jimmy Johns is coming to Tapestry Park.  It's all systems go.  I don't know the date, but I can confirm its coming...

I'm very excited to hear that Jimmy John's is coming!!!!
I just moved here from Omaha, NE about 7 months ago..(my husband is stationed down here) There are at least 19 locations in the Omaha area. The JJ's market is HUGE there. I was very upset to find out that JJ's did not exist here in Jax. I had worked at JJ's for a while and I must say it was my favorite place to work. Not to mention the delicious sandies! Subs so fast you'll FREAK! Yes, Firehouse and Larry's are good. But nothing can replace the rumble in my belly for some JJ's!

We had a JJ's where I'm from but I didn't care for it - mostly because of the sprouts.  I know I could get them without but once with was the turnoff.  I tried it a couple more times but it's not my fave.  I like Firehouse, hate Subway...I'd like to try Angie's and there is another one I can't recall the name but it's over by Aromas on Southside.

With you on the sprouts...they are too much like a dirt taste. Grit and sammich don't mix well in my book.

JJ's is the greatest..

Drove by a month or two ago and saw there was a JJs "coming soon" to Tapestry Park.. Went back out tonight and didn't see any Jimmy Johns, was dark and I didn't remember the exact location.. Certainly isn't open yet if it still is coming to the area..  :-\

Does anybody have any thoughts on Jimmy John's.  I just moved to Jacksonville from Chicago and was wondering why there are no Jimmy John's in J'Ville?

Question?

Where would you put a Jimmy Johns in J'Ville? Downtown?

Dude i used to live across from Jimmy Johns in Chicago. miss it very much... :-\

Wish it would be downtown, but I am guessing the first will be in either Tinseltown area, SJTC area or Oakleaf. High traffic equals big dollars for the chains.

I practically moved here from Milwaukee, Wisconsin 3 months ago (practically because I lived in Georgia from May to July), and I have seriously missed me some Jimmy John's.
I've gone through withdrawals and sort-of detoxed from the addiction, but the "need" for it still lingers haha.
I spent a large portion of my 1.4k student loan on Jimmy John's, which was about 12 bucks for the sandwich, drink, chips and tip (delivery), if I remember correctly.
The best things about Jimmy John's, to me, is the bread and the Jalapeno chips.
Once you bite into the end of the sub, the crunchy end-piece, it's like the perfect ending to a movie.
The guy saves the world, gets the girl, keeps his dog and his truck, haha.
Seriously, though, if someone can confirm about this Tapestry Park JJ's, it would be great.
They wouldn't deliver to me, though, cause I'm by wilson, but I would gladly go there at least once a week for my
fix.
I might even end up going by there myself and more-likely-than-not get lost, but it would be worth it if I found that out.
PS: Sorry for my elaborations and college paper-length spiel, there.

Sorry! but this is not a JJ's location, trust me. Drove there as well as called. It's a resident of Jacksonville who says they get calls for Delivery all the time. They find it quite humorous and can't wait for JJ's to get here!

Had Angie's today. Phenomenal.
Red sauce was a bit vinegary for my taste, but gold was the bomb.
I let Ed know about the red, he just keeps it like that so everyone is happy haha.
I had Peruvian, girlfriend had C&H. We loved it, except for the fact that they messed up and
gave her a roast beef and other stuff sub, and she's allergic to beef.
She took a bite and had to spit it out (Ed personally apologized for it, btw)
Was all good until the way home when her throat started closing up.
Yea, bad times.
But good food!

To Jimmy John's fans feenin' for their subs, the prior posts that say it's coming to Jax are indeed accurate.

I am a resident of Tapestry Park in the Southside and while few details give signs of it's coming, I can confirm that the buildout has begun.  They are to be located in the corner unit, facing DeerLake Drive Dr. W, on the residential side opposite the new III Forks Steakhouse.

Tapestry Park's actual address is 9823 Tapestry Park Cir., Jacksonville, FL  32246.

They have been slated for this spot for over a year, but it was only till recently that construction began (No confirmation on the open date yet).

BTW, love the metrojacksonville site!

FYI...

I spoke to a friend of mine at JJ Corporate who confimed that a JJ's location is underway in Tapestry Park.  He also said a franchisee is looking for a location in San Marco and hopes to be open by April 2010.
