God but it's spendy though.  For like 10 -- 20% more you can just go down the road to Clark's

Went there for my birthday a few weeks back, just my father and I....way to expensive! split a dozen crabs, dozen oysters and a few pitchers... almost $80.00.

She'll spend 80 bucks at happy hour on a Monday afternoon.

How much were the pitchers? Your tab probably would've below 55 without the beer.

I find that going out to eat and cutting back on the alcohol saves a TON of money. It's common sense I know, but if you say to yourself that you just want a nice meal and you don't want to spend a lot of money, you dining options increase. What some places charge for alcohol is just ridiclious, it's probably 50% of the check sometimes.

That's just me though; I like to keep my watering holes & my favorite restaurants separate. It's easier on the bank that way.

P.S. Clarks is awesome, I need to visit there again.

I totally agree about the beer point, they were probably $8.00 each at least. And I rarely drink alcohol when eating out anymore for the same reason as you. However, crabs with no beer is like cookies and no milk.  The beer aside, the dozen crabs was around $37.00 or so, thought that was a tad high. Dont get me wrong, we had a good time and the crabs were great!

Snow Crab and Dungeness crab is about $18 - $20 for an entree anywhere.

If you decided to order the Alaskan King Crab what did you expect? That's like ordering filet mignon and a 1lb lobster tail and wondering why the entree was $40 ...

and bite me dave LOL - tx for the laugh
