Whatever happened to the St. John? I know it is on hold, but I havent heard anything about it in months. Is the project dead?  ???

Serious doubt if any new condo towers will be built here anytime soon or in the future.

Jason

It may not be completely dead (wishful thinking), but it most definitely on hold.  The sales center still sits in front of the Aetna main entrance.

Yeah, the project was developed by a massive international real estate holding company. If the market improves, they are certainly in the position to re-start a project.

However, by the time the market improves ... you get all the presales ... you actually build the thing ... you're looking at 5-10 years bare minimum. And I think that's really optimistic.

Last I heard it was on hold; hope it is revived.

Interesting, the architect lists the St. John on their website as if its completed...

www.arquitectonica.com

Look under "Projects" and then "Residential" to find the St John.

That's the way it's always been from the beginning, that is the description of the project.  What really gets me is the "Jacksonville Shipyards" is also listed under residential and mixed use projects.

Kuhn had nothing to do with the St. John.
