Man, talk about pessimism.

Assuming the gaps are filled and last years rookies step it up we should be looking at a winning season at least and a possible 2nd or 3rd in the division.

3 at Houston Texans (L)
4 vs. Tennessee Titans (W)
5 at Seattle Seahawks (W)

Real tough schedule for the Jags... playing all 3 disvision foe's and 3 playoff teams in the first 4 games sucks.
Playing in both New England and Cleveland late in the season is going to rough too.

1 at Indianapolis Colts (L)
2 vs. Arizona Cardinals (L)
3 at Houston Texans (W)
4 vs. Tennessee Titans (W)
5 at Seattle Seahawks (W)
6 vs. St. Louis Rams (W)
7 Bye

13 vs. Houston Texans (L)
14 vs. Miami Dolphins (W)
15 vs. Indianapolis Colts (W)
16 at New England Patriots (L)
17 at Cleveland Browns (L)

(9-7) OVERALL 3-3 (DIVISION)

Since we're all just taking random guesses I’ll jump in too!

1 at Indianapolis Colts (We’ll forfeit because the Jags will refuse to kick off, claiming all action is meaningless L )
2 vs. Arizona Cardinals (W)
3 at Houston Texans (L)
4 vs. Tennessee Titans (draw)
5 at Seattle Seahawks (W)
6 vs. St. Louis Rams (W)
7 Hello
8 at Tennessee Titans (both teams fail to appear because they overdosed Tennessee pulled pork the night before)
9 vs. Kansas City Chiefs (W)
10 at New York Jets (W)
11 vs. Buffalo Bills (meh)
12 at San Francisco 49ers (W)
13 vs. Houston Texans (W)
14 vs. Miami Dolphins (W)
15 vs. Indianapolis Colts (W)
16 at New England Patriots (Jags force Tom Brady off the field in tears as Garrard does the statue of liberty before he supermans his mom, W)
17 Del Rio trades game with Browns for match with Panthers, bets Charlotte if he wins the game Jacksonville can have their lynx light rail system. Jags win, North Florida finally gets light rail.

11-2-1 and meh

Have the Jags ever tied a game?

Edit:  Just checked, no ties yet.

I would love to see the first part... second part too if we can sub Tom's mom for Gisselle.

I'm still pissed at that play he pulled on us during the '08 playoffs. Statue of liberty play? c'mon. We really need to pay them back for that.

Has the NFL always allowed tie games? I didn't notice any until a year or two ago.

Brady completed his first 28 passes of that game too!

Still trying to forget both Matt Jones & Northcutt dropping sure touch down passes.

I have to admit the statue of liberty was pulled off pretty well.  :-\

Yes... regular season only.  One quarter of sudden death overtime.  If teams still tied it is booked as a tie.
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

David

Gotcha. I'm not a huge football fan outside of the Jags so I never payed much attention.

This site says the entire NFL only averages 0.5 a year:

I love the Jags and wish and hope they become super bowl contenders this year; but this is wishful thinking; too many unknown issues and disarray in the team's chemistry at present; this was evident all last season.

I hope I am wrong with the above predictions, however, I predict 6-10 with Head Coach Jack Del Rio being fired.  Then whoever takes over the team the next year, hopefully a good, well known and established Head Coach (Bill Cowher?) will put the Jags back on the map.

Lastly, in my opinion, Tom Coughlin's firing was very premature and impatient.  I've always felt they should have held on to him, been patient, and I'll bet a super bowl trophy would now sit at Jax Municipal Stadium.  The Jaguars were more successful (division titles, Championships, etc.) during Coughlin.
