Not really related, but to further paint the picture of what kind of guy Arias is....Last year at about this time I ran in a 5k.  Raul Arias also ran in the race and live streamed it on his 360 degree camera.  At the finish line, there was a girl talking to a couple guys.  Arias came within about 15 feet of her and struck a pose that was a mix of Scott Steiner and Usain Bolt.  The girl didn't notice, so Arias relaxed for a couple seconds and then did it again. This went on a couple more times until the girl finally saw him and gave a faint giggle.  He made some stupid "I'm just playing girl" hand waive and then walked up and gave her an awkward hug.  It was the cringiest thing I've seen since I saw Jordan Elsbury skanking to New Found Glory at the Jax River Jams in 2021.  That was atrocious.

Earlier this morning, I heard some of the most conservative, Curry-loving business leaders in the city acknowledging how "expertly" the mayor handled this situation, and how poorly their "side" came out of it. The word "masterclass" was used. Something I never thought I'd hear.

There is a certain kind of person with money and power who ideologically believes that something like a publicly owned utility just shouldn't exist. They believe that private corporations should own everything.

That kind of person is never going to give up on their fantasy of privatizing every single thing anyone interacts with in a given day.
