Underneath a forgotten Northside shopping mall lies the remains of a 19th century cemetery associated with the yellow fever epidemic of 1888.

I used to play in those sand dunes before Gateway.  The highest dunes were east of Norwood Ave.  There was also a lake there called the "Keyhole" where kids swam.  I never found any bones, but heard of kids finding them.  Had a lot of fun running and jumping off the dunes.
