Despite growing opposition, the mayor's office wants to move forward with its controversial plan to demolish the Jacksonville Landing 'ASAP'. And yet, they have never released detailed plans as to what the orange-roofed landmark would be replaced with. If anything beyond an empty field is to be built, state law requires a more open process, meaning Jacksonville deserves a real plan of action. Here are four reasons to craft one before, not after, we rev up the bulldozers.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

Thank you for excellent supporting statements for realistic plans for the landing, not simply demolition. As one of many downtown residents, we deserve respect and consideration.

Super post and I agree whole heartedly. Hard to figure out exactly why Curry and Company are rushing to use the wrecking balls and rev up the bulldozers; however, to me, that is a prime piece of waterfront property and there should be an RFP before demolishing. I hope the Mayor's Office reads "THE JAXSON" and takes into consideration the contents of this forum.

The Mayor's office reads the Jaxson to determine who needs to be added to their blacklist.
