remember if you have any information about this crime call crimestoppers.  JSO needs all the help it can get, they are short-staffed, underfunded and greatly overwhelmed by the out of control crime in Jacksonville.

Yes, like the time 2 weeks ago when 2 cops came to my door and bitched me out for me and 9 friends talking too loud at 9:30pm in my fenced in patio. Its a good thing they came to put me in my place, they said they could hear us talking from the street!!!  Who knows what might have happened, had they not come!

You must live right near me... I was watching the Sox game and heard the helo all around me. I was torn between looking out the window or watching the Sox comeback.. I guess from my posts you can tell what I watched...

An adequately funded and staffed JSO would work wonders for downtown.  Until City Hall decides to get it's priorities straight, downtown will continue to be a dangerous place.  Even I've had about enough of it.

Man Shot Near Jacksonville Landing

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- A man was shot and taken to the hospital after two men approached him by his car.

It happened Thursday night around 11 in a parking lot near the Jacksonville Landing.

Police say Christopher Price, 21, was getting out of his car on Hogan Street when he saw the first man across the street.

it seems to me that the title of this thread should be changed...it is very misleading to what reportedly occurred.

btw...in other Landing News...Bourbon Bayou has been replaced by the Coach's Corner Sports Bar....still the same owners...just a different concept.

i feel very sorry for that guy.  he needs love, not ridicule.  i don't care about his past or where he has defecated.  he is obviously hurting and being taken advantage of in that picture.
