Jacksonville has been  to me like Paradise!  I Charles W (Memphis, TN) relocated here in 2011 to the Northside pecan park area and it's been amazing the style of living I became accustom too, seeing that there's 12 types of living areas(beach, forest, waterfront, inner-city, country, historic,etc....) I love the fact the amount of social n dining(food, ale) restaurants n eatery's this city have as well as almost record amount of family owned businesses, n seafood restaurants.  You also don't have to go far to find water n all the good meals that come out of it.  The winters are mild and the summers are hot and with the geographical position on a inner bend of the southeast United States, Jacksonville Florida always tend to miss a direct hit from Mother natures wrath(Hurricanes)

Welcome, I say to all who have relocated to this beautiful city, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks, Charles.  Those are exactly some of the reasons we chose this wonderful city.  We have not seen anything in our first three days that leads us to question our decision, but the winds have been a bit higher than expected!   

It's amazing how many of our northern friends asked specifically about hurricanes!  It was almost as though the hurricanes sneak up on you in the middle of the night and wipe you out with no warning!!!  No, friends, that's what tornadoes do and we got plenty of them up there.
