Treehuggers are a small percentage of the Obama constituency.  The more downscale supporters of Obama are decidedly more likely to litter.  Drive around town to confirm this.

It isnt about money or family pedigree.  An elitist in this context is one who has a sense of superiority, one who believes that he is a member of the anointed class chosen by God to lead the uneducated and prejudiced rabble into the imagined paradise of the Left's vision of America.  They dislike traditional America and look down on normal Americans.  Read the left wing blogs for many many good examples of the Left's disdain for the common man.

You may think everyone in your party is just as well-healed, neat and orderly as yourself, but unfortunately they are not.

and YOU may think that everyone in your party votes for your party's candidate because they feel he is actually the best candidate, but unfortunately, this is not true either.

Doesn't this fly both ways?  More reason to destroy the two party system we have set up.

Amen to that!!!  But then politicians would have to stop being puppets and actually become independent thinkers.  Unfortunately it probably isn't going to happen.

I'm actually an independent so I don't have any expectations from anyone.  But you raise a very very good point.  There are people on both sides who will act like sheep and vote in line with their party regardless of their candidate's strengths, stances, or PTA experience.

RiversideGator

Because even the obvious is lost on some.   ;)

or lackthereof PTA experience (hint:  Biden has ZERO PTA experience while Palin was President of her PTA!!!!).  so, if we're comparing apples to apples, who stands head and shoulders above who now?

Sorry but it isnt being elitist to expect people not to litter.   :D

Littering is not a matter of income but of respect for the law and your fellow man.

Sorry fellas but you cant tar me with the elitist brush.  To paraphrase William F. Buckley, I would rather the country be governed by the first 100 names in the Jacksonville phone book than by the Democrat "leadership" in Congress.  I respect the common man and his decisions and I want to leave him alone to make them.

I am going to try to make it back from Orlando to attend.

Please define your meaning of "downscale"

Do you mean morally or economically?

I know alot of rich people who throw garbage around because they feel entitled to do so.  I have also seen poor people do it for the same reason.  Both think they are owed the right to trash what they want; one because they feel they pay enough taxes to do so and the other because they feel their country has let them down.  Both sets are apathetic and selfish.

I find it difficult to point to one particular group of people and call them out.  You say it's obvious, I implore  you to drive down Beach Blvd. and see if you can identify the party logos on the cigarettes, soda cans, fast food wrappers and other trash that litters the road.  I am also willing to bet that crap was thrown from BMWs as well as Kias and everything in-between.
