If we bring back the Barracudas, it BETTER be for the hockey team.

Hilariously (or not), someone has already changed the listing on Wikipedia.  It still is under the Jacksonville Suns listing, but the first sentence reads, "The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp..."

The team's Facebook page (official page) has been changed already. Logo and everything.

Also, from what I'm seeing, he didn't even reach out to any local designers for the logo. It was done by a designer in San Diego.

Additionally, if we were going down Crustacean Road anyways, The Prawns would have sounded so much better.

I guess it's just me but I've always loved Minor League teams having over-the-top, ridiculous nicknames. It's part of the charm.

Hopefully the Jumbo Shrimp get some match ups against the Savannah Bananas or perhaps the El Paso Chihuahuas.

Shrimps are wimps. There are no "Jumbo Shrimp" in baseball. Shrimp have no tie to Jacksonville. Cashing in on new merchandise sells? Really? What women is going to go around wearing "Jumbo Shrimp" on her chest? The new mascot will scare the hell out of kids. Instead of racing with a dog they'll be running in horror from a giant sea monster. Stupid, STUPID idea.
