This idea and these renderings are awesome. Is there any talk of a bathroom, though?

Yes, a bathroom will be required.

Agreed. But how long until it someone foolishly decides it needs to remain locked to keep any "undesirables" out?

Apologies if that sounded like an opinion. A bathroom will be legally required on the project, as it is required by state law.

It should be noted though that the restroom facilities will be available for customers of Black Sheep, and will not operate as a public restroom (which is the same for any business downtown).

Hemming Park is asking for a new stage. Much needed IMO.

Meanwhile  Councilman Matt Schellenberg claims he hasn't seen any progression with the park. Really? Friends of Hemming have completely transformed that place. What an idiot.

There are now lots of kids playing in the park.  That says a lot.  Pull your ass out of your head buddy!

The Hemming Park group has done wonders in the park.  All one must do is remember how the park was before these dedicated individuals set their energies upon it.  I hope that the majority of city council members realize the importance of continued funding for the park, as without substantial funding, the park will lose its current momentum and sink to its former resting state of zero energy ... to its desolation.  If the momentum is allowed to continue, it will coincide with other potential projects, and energy centers emerging in the core.

hemming looks like the ramona flea market. the city keeps dumping money into something with no master plan. pretty sure we've been down this road before.

^ I don't follow? What road would that be? They have consistent programming that brings people who wouldn't otherwise visit the park, along with concerts & other various events. The park looks night & compared to before.

Does anyone know where in the park this is supposed to be placed?

If there is a bar, does that mean that alcohol will be allowed in the park? This *sometimes* open alcohol enforcement is about the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. People are going to drink if they really want to, might as well let places make a profit.

it'll be fit into the corner behind the Charles Bennett statue, where the current "food court" is, in front of the fences hiding the fountain pumps.
