Not directed at BT...

Even if you did, his response would be "talk to Rick McKee, I didn't draw it".

Not directed at BT this is a relevant cartoon in today's news cycle. My critique of the cartoon is just that the dirt released was taken very seriously and reported on extensively before the election.  So I find the drum beat I hear about "liberals" "Media" and others wanting to ignore the content because it came from hackers a hollow complaint.

It seems relevant in that all I have seen of the extent of Russian hacking or just old fashioned disinformation is emails stored generated and stored on unsecured servers and devices by democrats.  ( Clinton, Podesta, Weiner) Pretty shoddy infosec.  If Woodward and Bernstein ad published the emails on Trump it would have been... well you know...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

Does that make it legal?

Like if I break into your house and just take things that are lying around, is that ok?

If this was a democrat, you would be so hotly outraged that the pixels would vibrate.

I dont see anything or anywhere implying it was OK or legal.  I am in fact outraged.  What is hilarious is YOUR outrage... especially after cheering on the likes of Snowden and wikileaks...

Im not outraged, actually.

I am troubled by a foreign power helping to choose our president.

Perhaps you would clear up what this means:

"It seems relevant in that all I have seen of the extent of Russian hacking or just old fashioned disinformation is emails stored generated and stored on unsecured servers and devices by democrats.  "

Because it sounds like you are dismissing the fact that its a crime to do this, and that there is a high probability that the Candidate was aware of it happening to help his campaign.

I think Snowden was a patriot, honestly.  He blew the whistle on action by our government that violate the Constitution, and caused real reform.  And he blew the whistle in order to create that reform.

Burglarizing your opponents mail by using a hostile foreign powers resources in order to win an election (and change the balance of power with that same hostile foreign government) is pretty different.

Or do you not see there being a difference there?

Wha??  Its a crime for the russians to hack emails?  Did someone tell Putin?  The Kremlin has been doing this stuff since Stalin.  Cyber spying and manipulation/ disinformation is the new "Cold War".  Thank god Obama told Putin to "knock it off".

The same people who thought Barack Obama was a Commie simply don't care that a Russian despot helped Trump win.

Helped how?  Manipulation of voting machines?  Mystery voters?

By releasing hacked material and manipulating a narrative that somehow Clinton was in the same league of bad choices as Trump. When in my opinion she was nowhere near sa bad a choice.

Helped how?

That's the CIA and FBI's assessment:

QuoteFBI Director James B. Comey and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. are in agreement with a CIA assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election in part to help Donald Trump win the White House

So why did they only choose one side to hack?  How is hacking Hillary & the DNC more of a "retaliation" than doing it to the RNC & Trump?

I dont know.  Maybe their servers were secure... maybe there was nothing interesting to see... maybe it was Hilz ridiculous reset button.  Dont expect Putin to answer your question.

I dont know.

Yet you know they weren't trying to help Trump.

Funny how that works.

That's certainly the implication when you say that without manipulation of voting machines or mystery voters it wouldn't constitute help.
