Jacksonville Bridges going dark since superbowl

Was nice to see fireworks from the bridge.

Jacksonville is better now than then, but still not ready to host again.

Won't happen till there are at least 10,000 hotel rooms downtown. Cruise ships were a bust, security was ridiculous getting on and off as compared to the hotels where you walk in and out at leisure.

You want the city to paint the bridges because they need them? What about the roads and roadways that have not seen an improvement in 5, 10 or longer years? Its nuts to spend money to paint bridges when neighborhoods have pot holes or cracked sidewalks. As long as the bridge can carry the load, great, but otherwise, fix the neighborhood issues first.
