UNF 68 - FL 97

Final. Gators face Ohio State in next round.

Ospreys had it down to 20 with 2 minutes left before Coach Driscoll cleared his bench.

Ospreys have a lot to be proud of. It was a great group of guys this year.

Looking forward to next year!

Thanks for the updates all year! And congrats to 2016 Conference Champ UNF! Hope the underclassmen can ride the momentum into next year.

Newest Atlantic Sun member, NJIT is playing in the CIT (College Insiders.com Tourney) which is for mid-majors with winning records.

Tonight was their first game and they beat Army 79-65.

So the A-Sun still has 2 active teams in post season play.

The CIT is expected to be won by Grand Canyon. They are on probation since this is their 1st year in Div 1.  They were second in the WAC regular season to New Mexico State and are coached by former Phoenix Sun's guard Dan Majerle.

The final A-Sun team in post season play, NJIT, was beat by Columbia tonight 80-65 in the semi-final of the CIT Tourney.

NJIT had a pretty good run in the CIT, as they beat Army, Boston U, U-Texas Arlington before succumbing to Columbia.

Columbia will face UC Irvine in the CIT final.

UC Irvine was one of those bubble picks when they lost to Long Beach State in the Big West Tourney, where Hawaii came out as the tourney winner instead.

Since Hawaii also won their regular season as well, this pushed UC Irvine into the CIT instead of the NIT.

With Grand Canyon getting beat last week, UC Irvine will probably take this tournament.

The fact that NJIT, an A-Sun contender near the end of the season, got this far in the CIT is pretty good. Most mid tier A-Sun teams get eliminated in the earlier rounds. UNF beat NJIT twice this past season, in pretty sturdy form.
